Tien Phong is not just a pioneer.

Tien Phong hamlet, Duc Luong commune (Dai Tu district), has consistently achieved the status of a cultural hamlet for many years; it is a shining example in many movements, especially the expansion of the hamlet road to 6 meters. But through these movements, what we have observed is the greater unity, the affectionate and harmonious neighborly spirit.

The residents of Tien Phong hamlet donated land, contributed labor, and provided matching funds to expand the roads and build a more modern hamlet gate.

In a sturdy, well-built house at the beginning of the village, we encountered Mrs. Dinh Thi Van drying rice while her husband, Mr. Bach Tran Hoang, leisurely watched television. They greeted us with gentle smiles and warm gestures. We visited their family because of their heartwarming story: they were willing to contribute their own money to help another neighboring family participate in donating land.

Ms. Dinh Thi Van: “When the neighborhood launched the campaign to widen the road to 6 meters, I saw that donating land was necessary and would bring great benefits to the community. Seeing that our neighbors were still facing many difficulties, my husband and I decided to support them by participating in donating land.”

The compassionate hearts of Mr. and Mrs. Hoang - Van, along with the support of many other households, such as the families of Nguyen Van Oanh, Trieu Van Thuc, La Thi Thanh, Le Thi Thang, etc., who donated land and property, and contributed labor together with the villagers, helped complete the expansion and concrete paving of the roads, contributing to the expansion of nearly 1km of 6m wide village roads in Tien Phong hamlet, creating favorable conditions for travel, trade and economic development.

Tien Phong hamlet has 165 households, mainly Tay ethnic people, who rely on agriculture and forestry for their livelihoods. With 100 hectares of forest land, over 30 hectares of tea plantations, and over 50 hectares of rice paddies, the people have actively practiced crop rotation and applied scientific and technological advancements to production. In particular, they are gradually shifting towards producing tea according to VietGAP and organic standards to improve product quality and value. As a result, the lives of the people have gradually improved; the hamlet now has only 5 poor households, and they are striving to eliminate another 2 poor households this year.

Mr. Le Quang Dong, Secretary of the Tien Phong Hamlet Party Branch : The outstanding feature of Tien Phong is the spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and readiness to help each other. Especially noteworthy is the leading and exemplary spirit of the 24 Party members in all movements, setting an example for the masses to follow. For example, Party member Nguyen Van Oanh readily dismantled over 40 meters of fence and donated over 100 square meters of land to widen the hamlet road to 6 meters.

The tea cultivation area has been expanded, providing the main source of income for the people of Tien Phong hamlet.

Besides developing infrastructure, Tien Phong hamlet also pays special attention to environmental sanitation and improving the spiritual life of its residents. Every month, on the first Saturday, the people in the hamlet come together to clean up, clear bushes, and unclog drains... This is what makes Tien Phong a clean, beautiful, friendly, and livable place.

The cultural and artistic movement is equally vibrant. Artistic and sporting activities are organized regularly, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. Weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies are conducted according to new lifestyles, being economical, civilized, and in line with traditions and social ethics.

An indispensable element in the stable development of the hamlet is the maintenance of security and order. Under the leadership of Secretary Le Quang Dong and the Party members, Tien Phong always maintains security and order; there are no social vices, and very few conflicts or disputes arise. The hamlet's organizations always do a good job of mediating disputes and supporting families in difficulty.

With the achievements made, Tien Phong hamlet is striving towards the goal of building an "advanced new rural area". This is an important step to continue developing and creating a better, more complete living environment for the people.

Tien Phong Hamlet is a clear example that when a community is united, harmonious, and willing to share and help each other, any difficulty can be overcome. With these solid foundations, Tien Phong will continue to be a model of innovation and development in the new rural development efforts of Duc Luong commune.
