The bright summer sun brings joy to many beaches. In recent days, many tourists have flocked to coastal resorts in Thanh Hoa, even though major resorts like Sam Son, Hai Tien, and Hai Hoa will only officially open at the end of April 2023.

The enthusiastic return of tourists to the beaches presents an opportunity for Thanh Hoa's tourism industry and coastal localities to organize services and businesses effectively, increasing revenue to compensate for the shortfalls incurred during the tourist seasons affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For Sam Son beach resort in particular, this summer is especially significant, as the opening ceremony of the 2023 beach tourism festival, organized by the Sam Son City People's Committee in collaboration with Sun Group Joint Stock Company, coincides with the 60th anniversary of Sam Son's establishment. This marks a milestone affirming the maturity and growth of the coastal tourism city, and moreover, of the entire Thanh Hoa tourism industry. It also presents an opportunity for the city to enhance its image, one aspect of which is the development and wider promotion of its strong, distinctive tourism products with outstanding value derived from the blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine.

Developing coastal tourism is one of Thanh Hoa's strategic directions. To promote and enhance the effectiveness of tourism, the province has issued a tourism development program, which has been concretized into many projects and programs by the tourism sector and localities. However, awareness and resources for tourism development, especially coastal tourism with its short duration, still need more attention. In particular, there is a need to change the mindset of the people to make the image of coastal tourism more beautiful and perfect. The short-term tourism mindset and the negative image in the approach to tourists need to be changed sooner and more thoroughly.

In recent times, coastal localities, especially Sam Son, have made great efforts in directing and managing tourism, implementing many strong measures, but have not yet been able to immediately eliminate the negative image associated with tourism. Entering the new beach tourism season, coastal tourist areas in Thanh Hoa province are striving to transform their appearance, conveying new messages to welcome visitors, and demonstrating a sense of aspiration and hope.

A glorious summer, promising beaches filled with the joyful laughter of tourists, has begun. Let's welcome the new day and embrace new opportunities with innovative thinking, so that sad stories don't repeat themselves.
