Continue cleaning up marriage data.

(Dong Nai) - According to the Provincial People's Committee, in recent times, the implementation of cleaning up marriage data and reducing procedures for confirming marital status has achieved some positive results. However, the implementation process still faces difficulties and obstacles; progress in some localities remains slow.

To address this situation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Justice to take the lead and coordinate with the Provincial Police to guide localities in continuing to review, update, and clean up marriage data on the electronic system and the national population database, ensuring regular and continuous implementation. At the same time, they should strengthen inspections, promptly detect and advise on handling responsibility for localities that are not strictly complying with the regulations.

The Department of Internal Affairs is coordinating the inclusion of criteria for civil registration and management into the evaluation of public service performance, linking it to the responsibility of the head of each agency. The Provincial Police Department is directing commune-level police forces to receive and update resident information when all valid documents are available; and to coordinate in handling cases of data discrepancies between systems.

Regarding the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Committee requests enhanced coordination with local authorities in providing and transferring judgments and decisions related to marriage and family matters, serving the updating and completion of civil registry data. The People's Committees of communes and wards are urged to promptly complete the classification, updating, and recording of divorce cases within their jurisdiction; and will be held accountable to the Provincial People's Committee if there is a delay in updating or incomplete updating of information as required.
