Child actor playing Ghen in the film "Walking Amidst the Brilliant Sky": Excellent and energetic student.
The film "Walking Amidst the Brilliant Sky" is attracting audience attention. Besides the main actress, Ghen, Pu's younger sister, is also receiving attention for her pretty and adorable appearance. The 8-year-old child actress playing this role is Nguyen Ngoc Khanh An.

Khanh An is currently a student at Mau Luong Primary School, Ha Dong District, Hanoi . Despite being only 8 years old and having only been involved in the arts for two years, she has already achieved several accomplishments, including: First Runner-up in "Vietnam's Young Talents and Beauty Contest 2023"; Runner-up in The Face Hachio 2023; Second Runner-up in Vietnam's Global Junior Supermodel Contest 2024; Junior Ambassador for Best Catwalk Kangen Water 2023; Most Impressive Performance Award in "The Face Kids 2023"; Most Charming Kids in the IKids Vietnam 2022 contest; Encouragement Award in the "Searching for Cover Faces 2022" program organized by Thieu Nien Tien Phong newspaper; and Top 35 Outstanding Models in the reality TV show "So You Think You Can Model" organized by VTV9.
Sharing with a reporter from Dan Viet newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Sao May, Khanh An's mother, said: "Despite her frequent artistic activities, Khanh An has always maintained excellent academic performance, achieving the title of all-around excellent student for two consecutive years. In addition, she is very active in school group activities such as performing arts, aerobics, and painting competitions… Among them, she also won the "Promising Talent" award in the 15th Cathay Children's Painting Competition with the theme "I Draw My Dreams".

Recounting how she landed the role in the film "Walking Amidst the Brilliant Sky," Ms. May said: "I learned about the film because the acting center I used to attend posted a casting call, so my mother registered me to participate to gain experience. After about a month, I received news from the crew that I had been cast and started filming immediately."
"My child spent a month filming in Cao Bang . Every three days, she would travel back to Hanoi by bus for eight hours. Everyone in the crew felt sorry for her because she was the youngest actress in the crew, having to travel such a long distance from Hanoi."
However, in return, participating in filming in the highlands allowed Khanh An to experience and realize that she was much luckier than the children there because she was born into an environment with better learning and experiential opportunities. The children there faced many hardships and shortages, from food and clothing to recreational and educational facilities. Even getting to school was fraught with geographical obstacles and a lack of infrastructure… Most importantly, this was also her first time experiencing the life of people in the highlands (specifically the Red Dao people in Cao Bang).
"My daughter's scenes were mostly filmed at Pu's house. It's surrounded by cornfields, with hills in front, so she enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful scenery."

Always remind your child to prioritize their studies.
Ms. May said that because Khanh An is still young, she doesn't know if her passion for art will remain when she grows up. Currently, she loves it, so her parents are trying their best to create opportunities and support her.
Khánh An's journey into the arts was quite natural. Initially, her mother, Ms. Mây, enrolled her in acting classes to help her become more confident and outgoing. However, during her studies, Khánh An was consistently praised by her teachers for her quick learning ability and talent, leading to numerous opportunities for practical experience. Her first television role was a small scene in " A Father's Gift," followed by smaller scenes in "Let's Love Each Other Peacefully," "Women 5.0," and many other sitcoms.

Although Khánh An is involved in artistic activities, her parents always remind her to prioritize her studies. Furthermore, Ms. Mây only allows her to film on weekends, or occasionally she only asks for a half-day off or to arrive late for filming. The film "Walking Amidst the Brilliant Sky" was Khánh An's first film where she had the most scenes and had to travel the furthest for filming. However, because filming took place during the summer, it didn't affect her studies.

“When I enrolled my daughter in the arts, I had a hard time arranging my work schedule to accompany her to filming sessions and shows. Initially, my family didn't support us because they saw her working hard all week, and whenever she had time off from school, we'd take her to one program after another. But honestly, when it's a passion, neither of us feels tired, and thankfully, wherever Khánh An goes, people praise her for being 'always full of energy'.”
For me, academics have always been the top priority. My parents didn't pressure me to pursue art, but if I'm truly passionate and have a knack for it, they will always support and accompany me. My motto in raising my children is "Don't be arrogant in victory, don't be discouraged in defeat." I always teach my children to take everything seriously, to always strive to learn and improve every day," Ms. May shared.
According to Ms. May: "Khanh An is the eldest sister, with two younger brothers, so she has been self-aware and independent since she was little. She always loves and gives way to her younger siblings. When her parents are busy, she even takes care of them and feeds them. Furthermore, because she also has a passion for dancing and modeling, she has taught her younger brother a lot of 'experience'."
