Overview of Tran Thi Thu's biography

Tran Thi Thu was born in 1991 in Nghia Trung, Tu Nghia, Quang Ngai . Born into a poor rural family, she had to help her family support her younger siblings' education from a young age.

By the age of 15, Thu had to drop out of school to work. However, this was also the time when the golden girl of Vietnamese women's football first fell in love with the sport.

During a district-level tournament, Tran Thi Thu's talent quickly caught the eye of scouts from Ho Chi Minh City Football Club. Thu's abilities completely convinced the team's coaches, who expressed interest in bringing her to their academy.

At the youth team of Ho Chi Minh City FC, Tran Thi Thu quickly integrated and showcased her abilities with a courageous and fearless playing style.

After years of dedicated training, her efforts paid off. She gradually became a key player for the team and was officially called up by coach Mai Duc Chung to the Vietnamese national team for the 2017 SEA Games. Wearing the national team jersey, Tran Thi Thu achieved her first success with a SEA Games gold medal.

Currently, Tran Thi Thu plays as a defender for Ho Chi Minh City Women's Football Club I and the Vietnam women's national team.
