Hanoi announces 2024 Administrative Reform Index: Department of Home Affairs, Long Bien district leads

On the afternoon of February 27, the Hanoi People's Committee held a conference to announce the 2024 Administrative Reform Index for departments and agencies equivalent to departments; central agencies located in the area; public service units under the City People's Committee and People's Committees of districts, towns. The conference was organized in both in-person and online formats.

District block: 7/8 component indexes have average values ​​higher than in 2023, including: Administrative reform direction and administration (up 3.68%); institutional reform (up 7.46%); administrative procedure reform and implementation of "one-stop" and "one-stop" mechanisms (up 0.83%); apparatus organization reform (up 3.37%); civil service reform (up 1.42%); public finance reform (up 2.2%). Notably, Long Bien district ranked highest with 95.39%.

The national target program on new rural construction for the 2021-2025 period is gradually approaching its finish line and achieving many important results, creating fundamental changes for rural areas. The Dong Anh District Waste Treatment Area Project, built in Viet Hung Commune, Dong Anh District, has a capacity of 500 tons/day and night, with a total investment of 768,438 billion VND, and was implemented since 2011. By 2016, the project had completed 90% of the construction volume but has not yet been put into operation, and is still abandoned, causing waste of investment resources and land, making the people of Viet Hung Commune in particular and Dong Anh District in general feel indignant.

To resolve the difficulties, problems and shortcomings in the Dong Anh District Waste Treatment Area Project, on January 3, 2025, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the project. After reviewing the report, proposals and recommendations, the Chairman of the City People's Committee concluded: To resolve the above difficulties, problems and shortcomings requires active and proactive consideration, support and removal from departments and branches regarding legal regulations, practical situations and waste treatment requirements in the city and surrounding areas.

Thanh Xuan District: Speeding up site clearance progress for Ring Road 2.5

Talking to reporters about the progress of the project's site clearance, Head of the Site Clearance Department, Thanh Xuan District Construction Investment Project Management Board Tran Ngoc Thanh informed that by the end of February 2025, Thanh Xuan District People's Committee had directed the Site Clearance Working Group and the Ward People's Committees to complete the investigation, measurement, and inventory of organizations, households, and individuals whose land was recovered for project implementation; and approved the compensation and support plan for 4 organizations in Thuong Dinh Ward.
