Organizing the GlobalCheck Technology Day

On December 6th, in Yen Thang commune (Yen Mo district), the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with Dai Thanh Joint Stock Company and the People's Committee of Yen Mo district, organized the "GlobalCheck Technology Festival".

Attendees included leaders from the Department of Cooperation and Rural Development, the Department of Crop Production (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); leaders from the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of several provinces in the Red River Delta and North Central regions; and representatives from 250 agricultural cooperatives, service cooperatives, organizations, and individuals currently using agricultural machinery and seeking to apply digital technology equipment to production.

At the event, delegates had the opportunity to experience firsthand the operation of smart agricultural equipment such as: PC40 and G300 Pro spray drones; G500 seed and fertilizer spreading drones; field leveling equipment; automatic lawn mowers, etc. The outstanding advantages of these devices are their high level of automation, simple, accurate, and fast operation, which helps save considerable time, costs, and labor.

Following this, representatives from specialized units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, provincial agricultural extension centers, Dai Thanh Company, and individual farmers held a discussion and shared insights on the effectiveness of smart technology and mechanization. They also discussed some difficulties encountered in applying technology in the context of fragmented and small-scale farmland, and the high cost of machinery. Some farmers discussed pricing, warranty policies, and provincial support mechanisms with the company and relevant agencies of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding the purchase of modern machinery for production.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dinh Van Khiem, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, emphasized: Agricultural production is currently facing many difficulties and challenges due to climate change, labor shortages, and outdated farming practices... Therefore, introducing modern machinery and technological equipment into production, creating a closed loop from planting to processing and consumption, will partially overcome the above-mentioned problems, while also helping to reduce production costs and increase farmers' income.

In the past period, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has advised the province to issue many practical mechanisms and policies to support farmers in promoting the application of mechanization in production. In the coming time, the department will continue to strengthen propaganda, guidance, and advice on support mechanisms and policies to quickly introduce new technologies to serve agricultural development. In addition, we urge businesses, cooperatives, and producers to research and boldly invest to develop more efficient production and business.
