1. In the past few days, the image of veteran Nguyen Van Thanh, now 76 years old, riding his motorbike alone on the roads with the national flag flying behind him, traveling over 1,300 km from Nghe An to Ho Chi Minh City to watch the national parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, has moved everyone. When deciding to undertake this journey, he certainly didn't want to become famous or widely known. As he simply stated in the program "The Triumphal Song Resounds Forever," the reason he didn't choose modern and much faster means of transportation like airplanes or trains was to experience and witness the changes in each region. To see his people progressing every day and to cherish the value of peace even more. He visited many historical sites, including former battlefields in Quang Tri to light incense for his fallen comrades.

The image of that veteran spread a positive energy to each of us. Therefore, along the journey, anyone who recognized him would stop their car to take photos, ask how he was doing, and offer him water and snacks, along with wishes for his health and well-being.

2. With a spirit of initiative, volunteerism, and responsibility, the Phan Thiet City Youth Union is organizing the "Meal with Mother" activity this April. Through small actions such as sweeping the house, cooking, preparing the altar for the martyrs, and chatting with the heroic Vietnamese Mothers... not only does it make the Mothers' homes warmer and bring joy to them, but each Youth Union member also deeply feels and appreciates the sacrifices, losses, and contributions of the heroes, martyrs, and the Mothers to their homeland and country.
In addition, Youth Union branches continue to carry out activities such as visiting and giving gifts to beneficiaries of social policies and programs related to historical roots. This is a widespread political activity, an opportunity for young people, students, and university students to gain a deeper understanding of the contributions of previous generations to today's life.
3. On social media, the "Check-in in on the historic April" trend is booming. Photos of young people wearing red ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) printed with maps, the colors of the red flag with a yellow star, or in the style of old military uniforms, checkered scarves, white ao dai, or shirts printed with cartoon logos conveying the message "Independence, Freedom" are flooding the social media feeds.
The spirit of commemorating April 30th has also ignited creative inspiration among young people and brands alike. Many cafes quickly embraced the trend of spreading patriotism in a close and vibrant way by cleverly arranging photo spots with the red flag with a yellow star, conical hats, etc. They transformed the cafe space from just enjoying drinks into a place where everyone can feel proud of the four-thousand-year tradition of nation-building and the symbols of freedom and peace.
The blend of modern spirit and historical tradition has created a vibrant and lively picture for this momentous occasion. It is also how today's generation expresses its gratitude to those who fell for national independence, using the language of their own time.
