Comrade Truong Phi Long, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien Ward, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Long Bien Ward, Hanoi :
Continue writing the journey of nation building
At that sacred moment, my heart was filled with emotion and pride. As a young person holding an important position in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Youth Union of the ward, I understand more deeply the meaning of the two words "Independence" that many generations of fathers and brothers sacrificed to gain.

80 years after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, today, our country has made great strides, from a poor, backward country, it has risen to become a developing country, deeply integrated with the world .
Hanoi - the heart of the Fatherland has also changed day by day. Innovative policies are gradually bringing the capital closer to its aspiration of becoming a civilized, creative and livable city.
Facing such a transformation, I feel very lucky and honored to be able to contribute my small part to the journey of building my homeland. Whether it is guiding people to declare information, distributing gift vouchers, or supporting them to access technology and digital services, I believe that every action and every sharing of the youth carries within it a sense of responsibility and patriotism.
We - the youth generation today do not forget the past and are writing the future every day. With enthusiasm, intelligence and loyalty to the revolutionary ideal, we are ready to contribute to a sustainable development of Hanoi, a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Vy, 3/4 class disabled veteran, Party Cell Secretary of Trung Nam village, Cam Binh commune, Ha Tinh province:
A time of fire and flowers, a life of pride
Born into a family with a revolutionary tradition, all three of us brothers volunteered to join the army, contributing to the fight to protect the Fatherland in the most fierce battlefields. Among them, my brother Nguyen Dinh Luan and I directly participated in the battle at the Quang Tri front in 1972 and both of us left behind a part of our blood and bones.

Today, returning to the capital Hanoi to attend the important celebration, I cannot help but be moved and emotional. All the streets and roads are bright with flags and flowers; the jubilant and excited atmosphere of the people looking forward to the great holiday makes me even more proud and honored. However, what moved me and millions of people across the country the most was the Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister on August 28 regarding the giving of gifts to the people on the occasion of Independence Day. Although the gift was not large in material terms, it was a great source of spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the deep and humane concern of the Party and State for the people on this important occasion.
Our country is gradually stepping forward strongly into a new era of development - the era of integration, innovation and aspirations for strength. As a war invalid and also a village Party Secretary, I always remind myself to continue to contribute, be a pioneer, and strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks. It is not only a responsibility, but also an honor, a way for me to contribute my small part to the cause of successfully building and defending a socialist Vietnam - a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Hanh, teacher at Kim No Kindergarten, Thien Loc commune, Hanoi:
Dedicated to the future generation

These days, art programs, exhibitions, and gratitude ceremonies organized by the Party, State, and city not only create a solemn and proud atmosphere, but also recreate the sacred moment when the Declaration of Independence was resounded at Ba Dinh Square 80 years ago.
In our locality, meetings with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services, and cultural programs praising the Fatherland have become opportunities for the community to review traditions, for today's generation to remember the contributions of their ancestors and remind themselves to preserve and promote the achievements of the revolution.
The significance of this year's commemorative activities is not only to pay tribute to the past, but also to light up the fire of enthusiasm in the hearts of the young generation. In the midst of the bustling streets, I saw many bright and enthusiastic young faces participating in volunteering, ready to contribute to the community. From university lecture halls to factories, from modern laboratories to remote border areas and islands, the young generation of Vietnam is following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, affirming the spirit of "patriotism is action". They carry within them the aspiration to rise up, determined to affirm Vietnamese intelligence in the international arena through knowledge, creativity, entrepreneurship, and above all, through the responsibility of living beautifully and usefully. That is also the reason why I vow to work and study to the best of my ability for future generations.
Veteran Le Van Hung, 1/4 grade disabled soldier, Que Phong commune, Nghe An province:
Deeply feel the sharing and warmth
Today, I am extremely moved and proud to be with 288 delegates who are meritorious people and people of Nghe An province in Hanoi to attend the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

What touched me the most was the sincere concern and thoughtful care from the Party, the State, Hanoi City and the functional forces for the delegation of meritorious people. Despite our poor health, difficulty in traveling and the long and arduous journey, wherever we went, we received warm and sharing feelings. That made me feel respected, happy and proud to have devoted a part of my blood and bones to the Fatherland.
Over the years, the Party and the State have always paid close attention to those who have contributed to the revolution, especially severely wounded soldiers like us. Thanks to that, our material and spiritual lives have been constantly improved and significantly enhanced.
I hope that the work of “repaying gratitude” will continue to be promoted and spread widely. And above all, I hope that today’s young generation will always remember, be grateful for, and preserve the fruits of peace that many generations of fathers and brothers sacrificed their blood to achieve.
Student Nguyen Khanh Chi, Hanoi University of Industry :
The sacred responsibility of today's young generation
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 this year, like many other young people, I feel extremely proud and happy to participate in volunteer activities at the A80 program, the exhibition "80 years of National Achievements".

The days of volunteering have left me with many unforgettable experiences. From cleaning up and keeping the streets clean with friends, to guiding people around exhibitions, every small action has great meaning. Because volunteering is not just about contributing a little effort or time, but also a continuation of the spirit of “sacrificing oneself for the country” that my father and brother have worked hard to cultivate.
If the previous generation did not spare their blood and bones to regain independence, then today, we - the young people are willing to devote ourselves to the community, to build a civilized and humane society. In every simple action, I always feel the invisible companionship of our fathers and brothers - those who have fallen for the country to survive. That is why we do not allow ourselves to live indifferently and selfishly.
National Day September 2 not only evokes national pride, but also becomes a heartfelt reminder to today's youth to live responsibly and dedicate themselves to the people and the country.
I believe that when generations of young people today unite to foster the spirit of volunteerism, dare to live beautifully, dare to dedicate themselves to the community, then tomorrow the country will have more citizens who are not only compassionate, but also intelligent and brave enough to make Vietnam rise strongly. And perhaps, that is also the most meaningful gift that our young generation sends to the Fatherland in this year's Independence autumn.
Ms. Ngo Kim Thuy, Dai Mo ward, Hanoi city:
Proud, clearly feel the influence of the national festival
Joining the atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, early in the morning of September 2, my family and many residents of Dai Mo ward went to Phung Khoang Park to join in the exciting atmosphere of watching the parade and marching through the LED screen installed by the ward People's Committee to serve the people.
Even though we were not directly present at the historic Ba Dinh Square, or standing on the streets to cheer on the marching and parading forces, we still clearly felt the strong influence of the great festival.
As the majestic parade marched past the stage, the military music echoed, and the families present in the park were all moved. We were extremely happy and joyful to witness with the whole country the image of regular, modern troops; the marching groups demonstrated the strength of national unity.
What was even more touching was the moment when everyone looked at the same frame, their hearts beating together. We were not just watching a TV show, but living in a sacred moment of history, where national pride was shared by everyone.
This year’s 80th National Day celebration has therefore become an unforgettable milestone. It not only recalls the glorious past, but also arouses the aspiration for an increasingly powerful and prosperous Vietnam. Living in that atmosphere, witnessing and sharing the emotions together, I feel lucky and proud to be Vietnamese.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thanh (Bo De ward, Hanoi city):
Proud in the red color with yellow star on Independence Day
To celebrate the Independence Day, my neighborhood has been hanging colorful flags for nearly a month, so the atmosphere of Independence Day is very bustling.
Two days ago, my children and I joined the crowd waiting to watch the parade rehearsal. Today (September 2), my children and I stayed home to watch the live broadcast so we could watch the entire parade. Although we watched the live broadcast at home, my family still prepared red shirts with yellow stars and flags to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the great national festival. I feel very happy and joyful!
