On the evening of September 25th at Lach Tray Stadium ( Hai Phong ), the Vietnam U.20 team faced Guam U.20 in the third match of Group A - qualifying round for the 2025 AFC U.20 Championship. Fielding their strongest lineup, Coach Hua Hien Vinh's team had little difficulty securing a victory against their less-fancied opponents.
The Vietnam U.20 team secured a 3-0 victory against Guam U.20. Nguyen Le Phat (24th minute), Nguyen Cong Phuong (45+1 minute), and Nguyen Hoang Khanh (90+2 minute) scored to once again help Coach Hua Hien Vinh's team earn a full three points.

After two matches, the Vietnam U20 team won both games (beating Bhutan U20 5-0 and Guam U20 3-0), earning a perfect 6 points and a goal difference of +8. Meanwhile, in the match played on the afternoon of September 25th, Syria U20 only won against Bhutan U20 with a score of 1-0. After two matches, the West Asian representative has 6 points and a goal difference of +5.
Thus, the Vietnam U.20 team still holds the top spot in Group A, with 6 points, but ahead of Syria U.20 (second place) on goal difference (+8 compared to +5). Guam U.20 is in third place with 2 points and a goal difference of -3. Bangladesh U.20 is in fourth place with 1 point and a goal difference of -4. Bhutan U.20 is at the bottom of the table with 1 point and a goal difference of -6.

In the fourth matchday of Group A on September 27th, the Vietnam U20 team will face Bangladesh U20. Meanwhile, Syria U20 will play against Guam U20. Coach Hua Hien Vinh's team needs to maintain their form and momentum to continue winning, aiming to compete for first place in the group with the West Asian representative and accumulate a better goal difference.
