The floods that have lasted for many days have caused great damage to the province's power infrastructure. Dak Lak Power Company has mobilized all available forces and reinforcements from other units to organize rescue operations around the clock to restore the power grid and bring people's lives back to normal soon.
Immediately after the water began to recede, Dak Lak Electricity Company carried out a general inspection of all power lines, transformer stations and affected areas.
According to initial statistics, the flood caused power outages at 3,567 transformer stations (33.7%) and 340,822 customers (nearly 36%). Based on this, the company developed an emergency response plan and mobilized human resources, materials, and vehicles to key locations.

Workers of Dong Hoa Power Management Team urgently repaired the power grid.
In Dong Xuan commune area, from November 21 until now, 76 workers from shock teams have been reinforced, coordinating with 30 workers from the regional electricity management team to handle a series of damaged points.
In Tan Binh village alone, where the power line supplying about 2,000 households was completely damaged, 34 workers were mobilized and divided into many groups to dig foundations, erect pillars, and reconnect the power line. According to the plan, the entire Tan Binh and Tan Tho areas will be completed with electricity on November 24 if the weather is favorable.
Mr. Ngo Viet Tu, Head of the Dong Xuan Area Electricity Management Team, said he is often present at key locations to command and supervise the construction. “Progress is very important, but the safety of the brothers is absolute. The ground is still soft, the receding water leaves thick mud, just a small mistake can cause danger,” Mr. Tu said.

Many areas are still flooded, making net restoration difficult.
The piled up work forced many workers to put aside family matters to prioritize bringing light to the people.
Mr. Le Vinh Luan, Head of the Technical Team of the Dong Hoa Area Electricity Management Team, shared: “My house was also flooded, and my belongings were still scattered. But people were waiting for electricity every hour, so I put my personal matters aside. My wife and children understood and encouraged me to try to finish it on time.”

In total, about 1,000 people are directly involved in troubleshooting.
In particular, the Central Power Corporation has sent 224 more workers from Quang Tri, Da Nang , Quang Ngai and Thua Thien Hue to Dak Lak. All workers are prioritized for important loads such as hospitals, water supply, telecommunications, food production facilities and deeply flooded residential areas.

1,000 workers have been mobilized to the eastern region of the province to restore the grid.
By 11:00 a.m. on November 23, the Electricity sector had restored 2,499 transformer stations, while 1,068 stations were still without power (accounting for 10.09%). About 255,000 customers had their power restored, while more than 85,000 customers were still without power due to deep flooding or severe damage, accounting for 9.08% of the company's total customers.
“We aim to have all areas that have been drained of water connected to the grid by November 25. For areas that are still flooded, the team will move in as soon as the water recedes,” said Mr. Thuan.
In addition to restoring the power grid, ensuring electrical safety is also a top priority for the Electricity sector. Floods have submerged thousands of homes, leaving many electrical systems in homes damp and with leaking wires, which can easily cause fires and explosions. "After replacing the new electricity meter, the unit will support checking the line from the meter to the main circuit breaker of the residents, ensuring safe power supply. We recommend that people check the entire electrical system in the house, especially at the joints. If an electrical leak is detected, the main circuit breaker must be cut off immediately and the Electricity sector must be notified for immediate support," added the Director of Dak Lak Electricity Company.
