The prolonged flooding over the past few days has caused significant damage to the power infrastructure in the province. Dak Lak Power Company has mobilized all available resources and reinforced them from other units, organizing round-the-clock rescue efforts to restore the power grid and bring people's lives back to normal as soon as possible.
Immediately after the floodwaters began to recede, Dak Lak Power Company carried out a comprehensive inspection of all power lines, substations, and affected areas.
According to initial statistics, the floods caused power outages at 3,567 substations (accounting for 33.7%) and affected 340,822 customers (nearly 36%). Based on this, the company developed an emergency response plan and deployed personnel, materials, and equipment to critical areas.

In Dong Xuan commune, from November 21st to the present, 76 workers from emergency response teams have been deployed, working in coordination with 30 workers from the regional electricity management team to address a series of power outages.
In Tan Binh village alone – where the power lines supplying approximately 2,000 households were completely damaged – 34 workers were mobilized, divided into several groups, to dig foundations, erect poles, and reconnect the power lines. According to the plan, the entire Tan Binh and Tan Tho areas will have their power restored by November 24th if the weather is favorable.
Mr. Ngo Viet Tu, Team Leader of the Dong Xuan Area Electricity Management Team, said he is regularly present at key locations to command and supervise construction. “Progress is very important, but the safety of the team is paramount. The soil is still soft, and the receding water leaves behind thick mud; even a small mistake could be dangerous,” Mr. Tu said.

| Many areas are still flooded, making the restoration of the power grid difficult. |
The overwhelming workload forced many workers to temporarily set aside family matters to prioritize bringing electricity to the people.
Mr. Le Vinh Luan, Head of the Technical Team of the Dong Hoa Area Electricity Management Team, shared: “My house was also flooded, and my belongings are still scattered everywhere. But the people are waiting for electricity every hour, so I temporarily put aside my personal matters. My wife and children understand and encourage me to try my best to finish on time.”

According to Tran Van Thuan, Director of Dak Lak Power Company, as soon as the floodwaters receded, the company mobilized 100% of its personnel from the eastern units and transferred all forces, materials, and equipment from the western area to provide support. In total, approximately 1,000 people are directly involved in resolving the problem.
In particular, the Central Power Corporation has reinforced Dak Lak with an additional 224 workers from Quang Tri, Da Nang , Quang Ngai, and Thua Thien Hue. All personnel are prioritized for critical loads such as hospitals, water supply, telecommunications, food production facilities, and residential areas severely affected by flooding.

| 1,000 workers have been mobilized to the eastern part of the province to restore the power grid. |
As of 11:00 AM on November 23rd, the power sector had restored power to 2,499 substations, while 1,068 substations remained without electricity (accounting for 10.09%). Approximately 255,000 customers had their power restored, while over 85,000 customers were still without electricity due to severe flooding or damage, representing 9.08% of the company's total customers.
Mr. Thuan stated: "We aim to have all areas where the water has receded restored to electricity by November 25th. For areas still flooded, our forces will reach them as soon as the water level drops."
Besides restoring the power grid, ensuring electrical safety is also a top priority for the power sector. Floods have submerged thousands of homes, causing many electrical systems to become damp, with leaky wires, easily leading to fires and explosions. "After replacing the old electricity meters, the unit will assist in checking the wiring from the meter to the main circuit breaker of each household to ensure safe power connection. We recommend that people check their entire electrical system in their homes, especially at the connections. If they detect any electrical leakage, they must immediately switch off the main circuit breaker and report it to the power sector for immediate assistance," added the Director of Dak Lak Power Company.
