Suspect caught stealing unattended vehicle.

On the afternoon of December 9th, the Long Xuyen Ward Police (An Giang Province) announced that they are temporarily detaining Nguyen Thanh Loan (born in 1987, residing in Dong An 1 Hamlet, Long Xuyen Ward) to investigate the crime of "theft of property" after the suspect stole a motorbike from a resident at a restaurant in Dong An 1 Hamlet and pawned it.

The vehicle, which was seized as evidence, was recovered by the local police.

According to Loan's confession, at around 8:00 AM on December 6th, Loan walked to Bui Thi Xuan Street, in Dong An 1 Hamlet, Long Xuyen Ward, and saw a Honda Future FI motorbike parked on the sidewalk, unattended (the owner was eating at a nearby restaurant). Waiting until there were few people around, Loan stole the motorbike and walked it to get a new key made.

After unlocking the motorbike, Loan drove it to the Binh Duc ward area and asked a friend to pawn it for 5 million dong.

After receiving the victim's report, using professional methods, the Crime Prevention and Control Team of Long Xuyen Ward Police quickly identified and arrested Loan on the same day, and simultaneously recovered the vehicle and returned it to the victim.
