On June 19th, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center announced that it had coordinated with the Government Office and the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to implement technical solutions to close the Ho Chi Minh City online public service portal and merge it with the national public service portal from June 19th. Thus, the national public service portal will become a single, centralized portal.

This is to implement Government Decree 118/2025 on the implementation of administrative procedures through the one-stop shop and integrated one-stop shop mechanisms at the one-stop shop and the national public service portal.

The Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center has registered 1,875 administrative procedures, configured and connected electronic forms to the national public service portal, and tested the system's load capacity after consolidation to ensure it can handle over 1,000 simultaneous accesses.

In the near future, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center will continue to coordinate with Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces to carry out the merger, while simultaneously utilizing a new platform for handling administrative procedures in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, it is expected that on June 22nd, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center will conduct a pilot test for 102 existing wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City and 30 wards, communes, and special zones in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

In addition, to ensure the continuous and smooth processing of administrative documents for citizens and businesses, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center has organized on-site support staff for 168 wards, communes, and special zones, with two staff members per unit to provide timely support and guidance.

According to the Government Office's directive, the provincial-level public service portal will close its interface from July 1st, and the ministerial-level public service portals will continue to close in February 2026.
