Ho Chi Minh City meets with international press.

Through this, we highly appreciate the role of international journalists, especially those who were present on the battlefields of South Vietnam to record authentic footage and articles conveying the truth about the Vietnam War, calling for international support for the Vietnamese people and their struggle.

Fifty years ago, the Spring Offensive of 1975, culminating in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, achieved complete victory, ushering the country into an era of national independence and socialism. In this historic victory, Vietnam has not forgotten the support of international friends. Foreigners, regardless of nationality, skin color, ethnicity, or political affiliation, have always been a tremendous source of motivation for the Vietnamese Party and people to achieve great victories in the Vietnamese revolution. With deep appreciation, the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City hope that reporters will continue to support Vietnam in its integration and development process, with its efforts to "rise up" after 50 years of national reunification.

Thanking the international journalists for their hospitality, representatives stated that they had personally witnessed the transformation and development of Ho Chi Minh City, once a fierce battlefield, into a leading economic, cultural, and scientific and technological center of Vietnam. They also expressed confidence that with effective investment attraction policies, Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general will continue to achieve many successes in various fields.

It is known that during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country, approximately 630 domestic journalists and nearly 200 foreign journalists will be covering the event in Ho Chi Minh City. Over the past few days, the city has organized tours for journalists to visit the city's outstanding achievements and historical sites associated with the heroic struggle of our army and people for independence and freedom.
