From early this afternoon, the flow of vehicles from the provinces of Soc Trang, Tra Vinh , Vinh Long, and Ben Tre on National Highway 60 heading towards Rach Mieu Bridge to cross into Tien Giang increased significantly, causing localized traffic congestion at times. Following instructions from the traffic police, the Rach Mieu Bridge BOT toll station had to open its gates to prioritize vehicles traveling from Ben Tre to Tien Giang.

This afternoon, there was serious traffic congestion in the area around Rach Mieu Bridge.

Traffic police and transport inspectors in Tien Giang province actively regulated traffic at the foot of Rach Mieu bridge, directing some vehicles to turn onto provincial road 864 via the Rach Mieu ferry to alleviate congestion on the bridge. However, by late afternoon, traffic volume was extremely high, and at many times, one-way traffic had to be temporarily suspended for nearly 30 minutes, yet the traffic jams were still not resolved.
