For Dortmund, a victory in this match would secure their first and only title of the 2023/2024 season. Meanwhile, Real Madrid would aim to complete a double, having already won La Liga.

A victory would secure the German team their second title in Europe's top club competition, while their 15th Champions League title awaits Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Both teams have had a considerable amount of time leading up to what is considered the most important match of the season. It's safe to say that Dortmund and Real Madrid began preparing for their clash at Wembley right after their semi-final victories against PSG and Bayern Munich in early May.

Both teams had nothing left to play for in most of their final matches in the Bundesliga and La Liga, with Dortmund having already secured a place in the top 5 of Germany and Real Madrid having clinched the La Liga title several rounds early. Dortmund also had a full two weeks of rest, as the Bundesliga season ended on May 18th.

With both sides well-prepared, tonight's match promises to be very unpredictable, even though Real Madrid are currently considered the clear favorites. On their way to the final, Los Blancos have defeated formidable opponents like Man City and Bayern Munich, despite facing numerous difficulties at times.

Dortmund, under coach Edin Terzic, had impressive performances, defeating PSG and Atletico on their way to the final, but they also received a lot of luck in their two semi-final matches against PSG.

In terms of squads, neither team has any players suspended for this crucial match. Dortmund has several reserve players injured, while Real will definitely be without Tchouameni as he is not yet fully recovered.
