On September 14th, the producers of the drama "Darkness and Dawn" (starring Chen Zhe Yuan and Nie Yuan) confirmed that the series will officially air during prime time on CCTV8 and the Iqiyi platform starting September 18th.

The film is set in Shanghai, China, in 1949, when a series of mysterious and troublesome cases occur. To protect the city's safety, Lu Zheng Yang (Nie Yuan) teams up with Lin Shao Bai (Chen Zhe Yuan)...

The collaboration between Nie Yuan and Chen Zhe Yuan in this action-drama film project is also something to look forward to.

Notably, besides the film "Darkness and Dawn," Chen Zhe Yuan currently has a series of new projects awaiting release. Among them, the film "The White Olive Tree," in which he stars alongside Liang Jie, has already garnered over 1 million pre-orders even before its release.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jiu Yue Xi, revolving around the tragic love story of soldier Li Zuan (Chen Zhe Yuan) and war correspondent Song Ran (Liang Jie).

Initially, Chen Zhe Yuan faced backlash from viewers due to his somewhat boyish image. Even the broadcasting platform considered replacing the actor to avoid unnecessary controversy. However, the producers ultimately supported the actor.

In response to this trust, Chen Zhe Yuan worked hard to lose weight, combining high-intensity training and diet to achieve a more toned and suitable physique for the character. Along with that, he honed his skills, determined to "act really well" so as not to disappoint everyone.

The actor is reportedly in talks for the historical drama project "Tiet La" alongside Zhang Jingyi. The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Xiao Ruosheng, and is a prequel to "Huo Zhou Madam" (which was previously adapted into a film starring Yang Mi and Chen Weiting).

"Tiet La" revolves around the love story between the beautiful, lively, and freedom-loving blind princess De Lan and the young general Tang Qianzi, who carries a secret mission. If the two stars agree, filming is expected to begin in November of this year.

Additionally, Chen Zhe Yuan and Li Qin are currently filming the project "Yi Xiao Sui Ge". In the film, he plays the role of Prince Feng Sui Ge of the Su Sha Kingdom, who is framed by Yi Xiao (Li Qin) with an arrow. However, during the investigation of the truth, the two gradually develop feelings for each other.
