(LĐ online) - On May 26th, Venerable Nun Thich Nu Trung Trao - Abbot of Quan Am Meditation Center (Ba Tien Pagoda, Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district) personally visited and handed out gifts to several elderly people in difficult circumstances in the area.

This activity was organized to continue the program of donating 30 gifts to elderly and sick people living alone, which was previously organized by Ba Tien Pagoda, but due to health reasons, some individuals were unable to come and receive the gifts at the distribution event.

Accordingly, 30 gift packages (each worth 1.5 - 2 million VND) were given to elderly and sick people living alone in the area. Each gift package included essential goods and cash ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 VND, depending on the specific circumstances.

Beyond simply distributing gifts, during the celebration of Buddha's Birthday, Ba Tien Pagoda also made practical contributions to the community and the environment. The pagoda received 2,000 pine trees from Lien Nghia town to join hands in reforestation efforts, contributing to protecting the local green lungs.

In addition, the pagoda also distributed 50 gift packages, each worth approximately 300,000 VND. All the funding for these gift distributions was contributed by the Buddhist followers of Ba Tien Pagoda.

The charitable activities of Ba Tien Pagoda are a source of spiritual encouragement for those in difficult circumstances.
