The exhibition features nearly 100 works displayed prominently indoors and 65 trees in development or promising seedlings displayed in the grounds of the community's multi-purpose cultural center.
Mr. Chu Giang Phong, Secretary General of the exhibition, said: "To obtain a large number of bonsai trees with diverse types and rich styles, keeping up with the modern bonsai development trends displayed at the exhibition, the Organizing Committee and the Selection Committee have devoted a lot of time and effort to visiting gardens in mountainous districts such as Ngoc Lac and Cam Thuy; lowland districts such as Tho Xuan, Trieu Son, Yen Dinh, and Thanh Hoa City to meet with artisans and garden owners to analyze, evaluate, and select valuable works for display at the exhibition."
The exhibition attracted a large number of bonsai enthusiasts, allowing them to enjoy this refined pastime and appreciate nature. This also helped to raise awareness of nature conservation and environmental protection, and to develop ornamental plant cultivation into a valuable ecological economic sector, linked to the construction of new rural areas and civilized, modern urban areas.
Also at the exhibition, the Organizing Committee auctioned off several trees from artisans and garden owners, such as the "Five Blessings" starfruit tree by artisan Chu Giang Phong for 10,000,000 VND, and the "forest" artwork by teacher Le Van Phuong for 8,888,000 VND... The artisans donated the entire auction proceeds (32,804,000 VND) to Xuan Tin Secondary School.
