Titled "Frida: Building an Icon," the exhibition showcases over 30 works by Kahlo, depicting various facets of her life, from devoted wife and intellectual woman to modern artist and political activist.

Starting June 25th, Tate Modern in the UK will open an exhibition on the life and influence of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, running until early January next year.
After a traffic accident left her bedridden for a long time, Kahlo transformed her pain into hundreds of colorful and symbolic self-portraits.
Tobias Ostrander, curator of the exhibition, said: "I think the public is drawn to Frida's multifaceted identity. But she also expresses her very own sufferings, which many people can empathize with. And above all, her resilience and vitality are what truly stand out."
The exhibition also displays more than 200 artifacts and works by artists influenced by her.
The event has already sold approximately 42,000 tickets in advance, the highest number in the history of the Tate gallery.
Please tune in to HTV News at 8 PM and the 24-Hour World Program at 8:30 PM every day on HTV9.
