Binh Duong Club: Awaiting solutions from coach Hoang Anh Tuan.
In the last two rounds before the V-League was suspended, Binh Duong and HAGL both lost. Binh Duong suffered two consecutive defeats against Hanoi FC (0-1) and Nam Dinh (1-4), while HAGL lost to Ha Tinh (0-1) and Hai Phong (0-2).
In the aforementioned defeats, both teams simultaneously exhibited problems. For Binh Duong, many suspect that coach Hoang Anh Tuan's position is shaky. Public opinion suggests that he has lost control of the Binh Duong dressing room. In particular, the swift 1-4 defeat against Nam Dinh at Binh Duong's home ground in round 9 further reinforced these suspicions.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan's pressure stems from the fact that the leadership of the team from the Southeast region has long lacked patience with their coaches. Therefore, if Binh Duong continues to lose, it will be difficult for Coach Hoang Anh Tuan to remain in his position.

These could also be psychological therapies, helping the Binh Duong players feel more relaxed and fight better whenever they step onto the field. Or Coach Tuan will apply both therapies, both strengthening the squad and adjusting the players' mentality. A good coach is one who knows how to overcome difficulties. Coach Hoang Anh Tuan must quickly demonstrate this, to help Binh Duong play better, and at the same time, to help himself stay longer at this notoriously difficult-to-maintain team.

HAGL: What can they do to avoid being figured out?
For HAGL, their problem is different from the one currently happening at Binh Duong. Their recent losing streak doesn't stem from a lack of morale, nor from the fact that Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh can't control the team's locker room.
To be fair, compared to many other teams in the V-League, HAGL players are much more united and have a much greater desire to contribute. HAGL's problem is simply that their playing style, under Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh, has been identified and countered by opponents. This was discussed from the beginning of the season, even when HAGL held the top spot in the 2024-2025 V-League in the early rounds. In other words, the fact that HAGL's playing style was quickly figured out by opponents was something that Vietnamese football had foreseen.

The reason stems from Vu Tien Thanh's tactical habits, from his time managing Saigon FC and Ho Chi Minh City FC until his move to HAGL. He favored counter-attacking play over offensive play. As a result, opponents now facing Vu Tien Thanh's team, as long as they don't underestimate their defense and don't rush to push their formation high up the field, find it difficult to exploit gaps in the opponent's defense.
Another reason is that HAGL's squad is quite thin, a fact that was mentioned even before the 2024-2025 season began. The team owned by Mr. Duc has almost completely parted ways with the stars of the generation of Cong Phuong, Van Toan, Tuan Anh, Xuan Truong, Hong Duy, Van Thanh… The remaining players from the younger generation, who are considered quite good, such as Thanh Binh, Quoc Viet, and Duc Viet, also left HAGL subsequently.
Without the right "flour," it's difficult to make something out of nothing. HAGL now wants to play more diverse, more attractive attacking football, but it's proving challenging. Therefore, what HAGL needs to do at this stage is strengthen their squad before exploring new aspects of their playing style.

HAGL is still under a FIFA transfer ban due to an unresolved dispute over foreign player Martin Dzilah. This current V-League break is crucial for HAGL to focus on a more effective appeal to FIFA, before being allowed to strengthen their squad and improve their performance when the V-League resumes in early 2025.
