According to the forecast of the Lao Cai Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, tonight and tomorrow, localities in the province will have cloudy skies, with occasional rain, showers and scattered thunderstorms.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the continued compression of the low-pressure trough with its axis over Northern Vietnam, combined with the persistent convergence zone of winds at the 5,000m level, the weather in localities throughout the province will be cloudy with scattered rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain; southeasterly winds at level 2; and cold weather in high-altitude and mountainous areas.

The specific weather forecast for localities within the province is as follows:

Low hilly areas (Including the districts of Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban and some lowland communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts): cloudy, with scattered rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some areas, southeast wind at level 2, temperature from 25 to 31 ^° C, average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas (including the districts of Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, and Si Ma Cai): cloudy, with scattered rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms; locally heavy rain in some areas; southeast wind at level 2; cold at night and early morning; temperatures from 19 to 27 ^° C; average humidity above 85%.

Lao Cai City: Cloudy, with occasional rain, showers and thunderstorms, southeast wind at level 2, temperature from 25 to 31 ^° C, average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area: cloudy, with occasional rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, southeast wind at level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 18 to 23 ^° C, average humidity above 95%.

Bac Ha tourist area: cloudy, with occasional rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, southeast wind at level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 19 to 27 ^° C, average humidity above 85%.

Warning: Prolonged rainfall causes soil and rocks to become saturated with water, weakening their cohesion and making geological masses susceptible to landslides, leading to mudslides on slopes. Localized heavy rainfall may cause flooding in low-lying areas and flash floods in small rivers and streams.
