Free medical examinations, consultations, and medication for the people.

(CT) - On March 31, the Logistics Department of the Can Tho City Police, in coordination with Saigon Eye Hospital and Long Phu commune, organized a program to provide free eye examinations, consultations, and medication to local residents.

The doctor will examine your eyes, and if any eye condition is detected, you will be advised on treatment.

During the program, 300 people received eye examinations from medical staff, early detection of eye diseases, and guidance on how to care for and protect their visual health. Notably, the program also provided 5 free eye surgeries for people in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the Logistics Department presented 50 gift packages to disadvantaged households, each package including essential goods, a box of instant noodles, and cash. The total value of the gifts was 15,000,000 VND.

- On the same day, Long Phu Commune Health Station (Can Tho City) collaborated with Soc Trang Lung Hospital to organize a free lung disease screening program for local residents.

The target group for examination includes people with a cough lasting more than two weeks, those with a history of tuberculosis treatment within the past two years, those living with tuberculosis patients, and people over 60 years old with chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, and asthma. During the program, residents receive examinations and consultations from doctors and medical staff regarding suspected tuberculosis symptoms; chest X-rays and respiratory function tests are performed. If necessary, sputum samples are taken for testing, leading to appropriate treatment and monitoring.

This is a practical activity that contributes to the early detection and timely treatment of respiratory diseases.
