On May 22nd, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Tam Hien inspected the forest canopy linkage models for the development of Ngoc Linh ginseng in Tu Mo Rong and Mang Ri communes. Currently, the province has approximately 3,200 hectares of Ngoc Linh ginseng, mainly concentrated in Mang Ri commune.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with relevant units and localities to urgently develop a set of standards for Ngoc Linh ginseng in 2026 to protect the brand and serve as a basis for handling violations. He also urged the acceleration of forest surveys and inventories, and the completion of plans for forest exploitation, utilization, and development by June 2026. Furthermore, he called for strengthening the inspection and issuance of geographical indication codes and designations linked to digital infrastructure.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested localities to disseminate information and encourage people to comply with the procedures for planting and caring for Ngoc Linh ginseng. Kon Tum Ngoc Linh Ginseng Joint Stock Company will continue to cooperate with the locality to develop the medicinal plant area, aiming to build Mang Ri into a key medicinal plant area of ​​Quang Ngai province by 2030.
