During holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), Trung Giap commune organizes visits and presents gifts to policy beneficiaries, including those who have rendered meritorious service.
Mr. Bui Xuan Bao, residing in Zone 1, is the son of a fallen soldier and is raising a disabled child. His family faces significant economic difficulties; their old, dilapidated house is unsafe, and he lacks the funds to rebuild it. In mid-2024, thanks to the support of the district and Trung Giap commune authorities, especially the leadership of the Provincial Military Command, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the Viettel Military Group, and the contributions of neighbors and relatives, Mr. Bui Xuan Bao's family was able to build a spacious and clean house. Now, his family no longer worries about rain or sun, and has the opportunity to develop their economy and achieve a stable life.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh, residing in Zone 6, is a war invalid (category 2/8) who participated in the resistance war and suffered from chemical poisoning. He always feels grateful for the care and attention he receives from the Party and the State. He considers this a source of motivation that helps him and his family overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh said: "Every year, during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), my family receives visits, encouragement, and gifts from district and commune leaders. In 2023, my family received housing assistance. I am very happy that my contributions during the war are now being thoughtfully considered by the district and commune Party committees, the 21st Chemical Company Limited, and our neighbors, relatives, and friends. This is a great source of encouragement for my family to continue upholding the revolutionary tradition, encouraging our children and grandchildren to abide by all the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, and to strive for a stable life."
Along with Mr. Bui Xuan Bao and war invalid Tran Ngoc Anh, policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution in Trung Giap commune, in particular, and Phu Ninh district in general, are always regularly cared for and encouraged by the Party Committee and the local government. Currently, there are a total of 71 people who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution receiving monthly allowances in Trung Giap commune. These include 2 severely wounded soldiers, 26 wounded soldiers, 11 sick soldiers, 5 chemically-affected soldiers, 5 children of people exposed to chemical toxins with genetic defects, and 22 dependents of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and dependents of those exposed to chemical toxins.
Every month, Trung Giap commune strictly implements the payment regime for beneficiaries of preferential policies for people with meritorious services, ensuring that payments are made correctly and in full according to regulations.
Comrade Bui Trung Quoc, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, stated: "Over the years, the commune's Party Committee and government have always considered the work of showing gratitude and appreciation as one of the important and regular tasks in the process of implementing political , economic, cultural, and social tasks in the locality. Accordingly, the commune has actively and promptly implemented the Party and State's guidelines and policies on showing gratitude and appreciation to all cadres and people in the area; promoting education for the younger generation about the tradition of patriotism, remembering the source of water, and showing gratitude to the generations of ancestors who fought, protected, and preserved the country through concrete and practical actions. The Commune Party Committee and People's Committee regularly pay attention to and direct the work of visiting and giving gifts; ensuring the lives of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution and their families. To date, the commune has no policy beneficiary families belonging to poor or near-poor households." The commune actively mobilizes agencies, businesses located in the area, and all sectors of the population to support the "Gratitude and Repayment" fund; strictly implements the payment system for beneficiaries of social assistance correctly, fully, and safely; regularly seeks to understand and grasp the information, situation, thoughts, and aspirations of policy beneficiary families to encourage, share, and plan timely assistance. Along with that, movements to help and care for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious service... are also promoted in mass organizations and residential areas...
Through concrete and practical actions, Trung Giap commune has contributed to improving the quality of care for families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services, demonstrating the beautiful traditional moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the nation, and contributing to educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions, love for the homeland, and national pride in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
