In just 10 days, Cao Bang suffered two consecutive strong storms, leaving the education sector here unable to react, making life even more difficult. In particular, according to preliminary statistics, storm No. 10 caused damage to the province's education sector with an estimated value of more than 15,484 billion VND.

The whole province has 14 schools in Thuc Phan ward and the communes of Bao Lac, Can Yen, Bao Lam, Quang Uyen... that were seriously affected. In particular, Chi Thao Primary School and Phuc Sen Primary School in Quang Uyen commune were deeply flooded, many items were severely damaged.
In the spirit of mutual love, NXBGDVN and Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (a member of NXBGDVN) supported the education sector of Cao Bang province with 17,825 textbooks with a total value of 315 million VND for students at schools. In addition, NXBGDVN also supported 50 million VND in cash for schools in the province that suffered heavy damage after floods.
Speaking at the book donation ceremony, Mr. Ngo Van Hoan, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Education Publishing House, expressed: “We understand the difficulties that the Cao Bang Education sector, teachers and students are facing. Immediately after receiving information about the losses that teachers and students in the province have encountered, the Vietnam Education Publishing House promptly prepared books, with the desire to provide the fastest and most timely support, accompanying the Cao Bang education sector to overcome this difficult period. Hopefully, today's gifts are not only material, but also sharing, belief, and spiritual encouragement from the Vietnam Education Publishing House for the students and teachers here.”

Kindness among educators
On behalf of the Education Department of Cao Bang province, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of the province expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnam Education Publishing House and the Hanoi Education Investment and Development Company, along with all the staff and employees who have turned to students in difficult areas with their hearts and noble social responsibility. “Today, 17,825 textbooks and 50 million VND in cash, worth a total of 365 million VND, were handed to teachers and students in the flood-affected areas. This is not only a material gift, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement. This is a very humane sharing, helping students to quickly stabilize their studies and teachers to be more confident in staying in school and in class after the natural disaster," Mr. Hien emphasized.
On the same day, the working group of the Publishing House of Education Vietnam and the Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company visited and supported books and cash with a total value of 22 million VND to Hop Giang Secondary School, Cao Bang province. This is a school that was heavily affected by two storms No. 10 and 11. Ms. Bui Thu Hang, the school's principal, shared that after the two storms, all the desks and chairs of 12 classrooms and 6 offices were soaked with water, peeled off, and many equipment were severely damaged. The total damage was up to more than 1 billion VND. The support of the Publishing House of Education Vietnam and the Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is not only material, but also a valuable spiritual medicine. It gives us confidence and strength to move forward.
This year, not only Cao Bang, NXBGDVN is implementing a program to support textbooks for students in areas affected by natural disasters across the country. The total expected support value in 2025 is up to 20 billion VND.
“We will closely coordinate with the Departments of Education and Training and local authorities to review the list of students, determine actual needs, and ensure support is quick, transparent, and reaches the right people in need,” Mr. Ngo Van Hoan affirmed.
For NXBGDVN, each book is not only a product, but also a mission to bring knowledge to every Vietnamese student, whether in the lowlands or the mountains, whether in peacetime or after natural disasters.
