Proud of the two words "Our Party"

The Spring of the Year of the Dragon 2024 marks the 94th anniversary of the glorious Party (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024). Over the past 94 years, under the guiding light of the Party, the Vietnamese people have united as one, creating a powerful force, thereby writing glorious and heroic chapters in our nation's history. As the earth and sky usher in a new spring, we are even more joyful and proud of the glorious journey of our Party.

1. In the spring of 1930, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh presided over the conference to unify the three communist organizations in Vietnam at that time: the Indochinese Communist Party, the Annam Communist Party, and the Indochinese Communist League. On February 3, 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was officially founded. This is a glorious milestone on the path of building and developing our nation. Since the Party's leadership, the Vietnamese nation has entered a glorious new chapter. In 1945, at the age of 15, with only over 5,000 members, the Party led the people of the whole country in the August General Uprising, seizing power for the workers and peasants, and establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. In 1954, it achieved the Dien Bien Phu victory, "renowned throughout the world and shaking the earth." Continuing the aspirations of spring, in 1975, our Party completed the historical mission of "driving out the Americans and overthrowing the puppet regime," reunifying the country and ushering it into an era of national independence and socialism. For 94 years, under the Party's guidance, our country has risen from a poor and backward nation to a developing country with a middle income, where culture and society continue to develop, and the people's material and spiritual lives have improved significantly. The most outstanding achievement is economic growth and development. In 2023, overcoming difficulties, Vietnam achieved very impressive socio-economic achievements, with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth for the whole year reaching 5.05%; inflation was controlled at 3.25%. GDP per capita is estimated at 101.9 million VND/person, equivalent to 4,284 USD, an increase of 160 USD compared to 2022. Particularly in 2023, along with the strict implementation of Party discipline, many new policies and regulations were issued to promptly detect and prevent early and distant manifestations of degradation, corruption, negativity, and abuse of power, creating a new protective framework for cadres and Party members. Also in 2023, the Party made many preparations for the 14th National Party Congress, completing the initial planning of the Central Committee to organize training, fostering, arranging, and testing; and establishing subcommittees to serve the 14th Congress. The above results demonstrate the high sense of responsibility and solidarity of the entire Party, people, and army in building an increasingly strong and stable national foundation, creating new momentum and strength for Vietnam to reach new heights and possess the strength and intelligence to stand shoulder to shoulder with friends around the world.

2. As a part of the Party, the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee is very proud to have made a worthy contribution to the glorious cause of the Party and our nation. Accordingly, under the glorious banner of the Party, the Party Committee and people of Binh Thuan province have not shied away from sacrifice and hardship, remaining wholeheartedly loyal to the Party, and together with the whole country have achieved many glorious accomplishments. These days, everywhere in Binh Thuan province is filled with a lively atmosphere. The streets are decorated with flags and flowers by the people to joyfully welcome the New Year and celebrate the glorious Party. The people of Binh Thuan are even more proud that at the beginning of 2023, the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee launched a political campaign with the theme "Keeping the Party Member's Oath" throughout the entire Party Committee. This initiative not only attracted the participation of every cadre and Party member but also received the support and approval of the masses. Because "Keeping the Party Member's Oath" is an opportunity for each cadre and Party member to remind themselves of the pride and responsibility they feel when honored to join the Party; the promises they made to the organization and the people when running for election or being appointed. From there, each cadre and Party member can self-reflect, self-correct, and consciously improve themselves; contributing to preventing and combating ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation; and upholding the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks.

Also in 2023, despite many difficulties, the province's socio -economic situation achieved positive results, marking a period of strong development. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2023 increased by 8.1%, ranking 14th out of 63 provinces and cities, and 4th out of 14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coastal regions (compared to 45th out of 63 and 10th out of 14 in 2022). Industrial production value reached VND 40,611 billion, with the electricity production and distribution sector increasing by over 11.6%. Export turnover reached over USD 904 million. Budget revenue reached over VND 10,000 billion, achieving 100% of the projected target.

In 2024, Binh Thuan province identified it as a crucial year in achieving the goals of the 2021-2025 five-year socio-economic development plan. The objectives are to continue effectively exploiting and utilizing the province's resources, potential, and advantages; proactively linking, cooperating, and integrating; and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the state administrative apparatus. The province aims to accelerate economic restructuring associated with innovation in growth models, increasing labor productivity and the competitiveness of the economy, focusing on the development of industry, tourism, and agriculture, contributing to economic recovery and development. To achieve these goals, Binh Thuan has directed localities, departments, and the entire staff of officials and civil servants to work diligently with responsibility and dedication, demonstrating both integrity and competence. Dare to think, dare to act, dare to take responsibility, use work efficiency, the satisfaction of the people and businesses, and the development of the province as measures to evaluate the level of task completion, strive to fulfill one's responsibilities and duties well and complete the overall tasks of the province.

Spring is the season of nature, the Party is the heart of the people. The people trust the Party, always proud of the name "Our Party." As a new spring arrives, every cadre, Party member, and every Vietnamese citizen in general, and Binh Thuan in particular, feels even more proud of their nation and believes that, under the leadership of the Party, the country's foundation will become increasingly solid and brighter, with the noble goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, civilization, and a steady advance towards socialism.

Upholding the tradition of heroism and resilience in combat, and dynamism and creativity in the construction of the homeland, under the glorious banner of the Party, the Party Committee and people of Binh Thuan always unite, work together, and wholeheartedly build a clean and strong Party Committee, leading the people to successfully implement socio-economic tasks, contributing together with the whole country towards the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
