Victory News (36' ) : "Please listen to the victory news we have just received. At exactly 11:30 a.m., our troops entered Saigon, captured the Independence Palace, the puppet general staff under Duong Van Minh surrendered unconditionally, the red flag with a yellow star fluttered on the roof of the Independence Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Campaign was a complete victory."

“After hearing the news of the victory, the unit was overjoyed; the soldiers danced, hugged, and sang happily. I myself was also very excited, knowing that I was still alive and longing to see my parents, wife, and children.”

The reunification of the country, the reunion of North and South, was a dream that became a reality for countless Vietnamese people, and this joy was expressed by the late composer Hoang Ha through the stirring melodies of the song "The Country's Complete Joy." The lyrics conveyed the boundless happiness and ultimate elation of the entire nation on the day of national triumph.

The 49th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country on April 30th is an occasion for us to be even more proud of the glorious traditions of our nation and of our ancestors in the Ho Chi Minh era. Through this, we can continue to promote the spirit and intellect to build, develop, and protect a stronger and more prosperous socialist Vietnam.
