A proud and spectacular opening night of the People's Police Sports Festival.

(PLVN) – The 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games in Quang Ninh province will see the participation of over 70 delegations of athletes from the professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security and the Public Security forces of provinces and cities nationwide, with over 1,900 officers, soldiers, coaches, referees and support personnel.

This evening, May 23rd, the opening ceremony of the 2026 People's Public Security Military , Martial Arts, and Sports Festival took place at 30/10 Square (Quang Ninh province). This is a practical activity aimed at celebrating the 80th anniversary of the People's Security Force's traditional day. It also provides an opportunity for officers and soldiers throughout the force to interact, learn from each other, improve their physical fitness, courage, fighting spirit, and solidarity.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games, Region I, Lieutenant General, Doctor Le Quoc Hung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, and Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized: This year's Games are held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Force (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026). It is not only an activity to improve physical fitness but also an opportunity to showcase the courage, fighting spirit, and professionalism of the Vietnamese People's Public Security Force.

The opening ceremony of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games consists of three parts: a welcoming artistic program, the ceremonial part, and a live military exercise showcasing the forces.

The performances, seamlessly integrated with modern sound and lighting, were elaborately staged to create a spectacular impression, including: drum performances, flag dances; demonstrations of controlling specialized cars and motorcycles; cavalry performances; demonstrations of martial arts, qigong, and breaking techniques; demonstrations of handling professional situations, along with many large-scale group performances involving more than 1,500 officers and soldiers.

The sports event was organized on a large scale and in a solemn manner, showcasing the vibrant competitive spirit and discipline of the regular, elite, and modern People's Public Security force. Through this, it inspires and spreads pride and determination to excellently fulfill the task of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety in the new situation among each officer and soldier.

The 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games will take place from May 23-28. The events and competitions include: shooting, obstacle course, People's Public Security martial arts, 7-a-side men's football, and pickleball.

The content of the qigong and breaking techniques reflects the rigorous training, courage, willpower, and strength of the Mobile Police force.

Hosting the Games further affirms Quang Ninh province's role and responsibility in coordinating large-scale political, cultural, and sports activities of the People's Public Security force; and at the same time contributes to promoting the image of Quang Ninh's land and people to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally.
