This event marks the beginning of political, cultural, and professional activities for journalists in Hanoi and central news agencies, ministries, and sectors in the area, practically celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2024), and looking forward to the 99th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The organizing committee received 148 entries (including 54 print articles, 77 electronic articles, and 17 radio and television programs). The final judging panel reviewed and unanimously selected 43 outstanding works to award the Ngo Tat To Journalism Prize of Hanoi City in 2023.
