Grand Opening Ceremony of the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh assessed that, in recent times, Hanoi's press has been active, proactive, and has accurately, promptly, and vividly reflected all aspects of political , economic, social, security, defense, and foreign affairs life of the capital and the country; reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of all strata of the people, and meeting the increasingly high demands of the public for information, culture, and entertainment.

"Hanoi's press has always been at the forefront of the fight against corruption and negative practices; refuting the false narratives of hostile forces and protecting the ideological foundation of the Party," the Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh highly appreciated the Hanoi press for consistently accompanying the city in recent times, not only publicizing achievements but also regularly contributing opinions to overcome shortcomings, in a constructive spirit to help the capital city develop further.

In his opening speech, the Chairman of the Hanoi Journalists Association, To Quang Phan, stated that the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon - Hanoi 2024, taking place over two days, January 29th and 30th, will feature 18 exhibition booths from 16 central, ministerial, and Hanoi-based media agencies, showcasing many unique and diverse publications...

This event marks the beginning of political, cultural, and professional activities for journalists in Hanoi and central news agencies, ministries, and sectors in the area, practically celebrating the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024), the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi City Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2024), and looking forward to the 99th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

The Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon 2024 is an opportunity for the Hanoi Journalists Association to honor, award, and commend collectives and individuals with outstanding works that won the Ngo Tat To Journalism Prize in 2023, aiming to encourage and motivate branch associations to build upon their achievements in work and professional duties, and to continue exploring and innovating to achieve even greater success in 2024.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also honored the authors and groups of authors whose works won the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award of Hanoi City in 2023.

Numerous journalists, members of the public, and readers visited and enjoyed the special publications on display at the Spring Press Festival of the Year of the Dragon - Hanoi 2024.

The organizing committee received 148 entries (including 54 print articles, 77 electronic articles, and 17 radio and television programs). The final judging panel reviewed and unanimously selected 43 outstanding works to award the Ngo Tat To Journalism Prize of Hanoi City in 2023.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the Special Prize of the Ngo Tat To Journalism Award - Hanoi City 2023 to the team of authors Hoang Manh; Xuan Song; Thai Van Trong; Nguyen Trung Dung of Hanoi Radio and Television Station for their television report "Where does electricity go?"...
