Creativity and volunteerism

The startup movement has become a special highlight of Ca Mau's youth over the past year. Many community-based ecotourism models, promoting local cultural values combined with online booking technology and social media promotion, have been initiated by young people, bringing sustainable income and creating more jobs for local people. In the Ca Mau Startup Competition 2025, many projects were highly appreciated, such as: "Hard capsules containing standardized extract from mangrove leaves to support liver protection", "Multifunctional panel oriented towards application in the aquaculture industry"; "CUASUMO"; "VK - Convenient Vietnamese-flavored fish sauce hotpot base" and "BeTram - Fermented honey" implemented by young people, offering promising avenues for future entrepreneurship.

Mr. Quach Van An, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province, said: I highly appreciate the quality of the projects in this year's startup competition. What is most commendable and encouraging is the spirit of innovation, presentation skills, critical thinking, and the boldness in applying science and technology to products of young people, especially many who are still in school.

The youthful energy of Ca Mau is demonstrated not only through its creative abilities but also through its sense of responsibility towards the community and the environment. The "Youth Volunteer" movement has been widely implemented among youth union members at all levels in the province with models such as: Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday, literacy teams, or a series of activities during Youth Month, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign... attracting thousands of young people to participate.

From here, thousands of useful projects and initiatives serving daily life have emerged, contributing to beautifying our homeland which is changing day by day. Continuing the tradition of our ancestors in building and defending the Fatherland, the "Youth Vanguard in Defending the Fatherland" movement continues to be implemented through activities such as traditional education, legal awareness campaigns, organizing forums like "Youth with the Homeland's Seas and Islands," and exchanges with border guards and naval soldiers, contributing to building a comprehensive national defense and people's security posture.

Preserve values to embrace new opportunities.

Despite efforts to innovate in all aspects, the biggest challenge facing the youth of Ca Mau is the mindset barrier when they want to rise up and assert themselves in the context of integration. Overcoming this barrier, each young person understands that they must improve themselves from knowledge to skills, and must constantly train and grow as they bear the responsibility of being "pillars of the nation," as President Ho Chi Minh affirmed.

The members of the Youth Union at Le Thi Rieng High School pledge to emulate and continue the glorious traditions of previous generations.

Nguyen Nhat Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Ngan Dua Primary School, Hong Dan commune, who has been awarded the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" at the grassroots level for seven consecutive years, "Outstanding Youth Union Member" at the provincial level from 2020-2025, and "Outstanding Figure of Ca Mau Province in the field of information technology" in 2025, emphasized: "To successfully integrate, Ca Mau youth urgently need to equip and improve their digital skills and foreign language skills, with the goal of mastering science and technology."

Mr. Tran Quang Vu, Standing Committee member of the Phu My Commune Youth Union, Secretary of the Phu My Commune Military Command's Youth Union branch, and outstanding young Party member of 2025, believes that preserving traditional culture should be considered a core value for integration.

"To both integrate and preserve our identity, I believe that the Youth Union needs to view traditional culture not as a 'burden to preserve,' but as a valuable resource to create differentiation. Learning new things from the world but not blindly following them; absorbing the best while retaining the roots of Ca Mau – that is the way to sustainable growth. Values such as compassion, honesty, and resilience of the people of the southernmost region need to be transformed into a kind, responsible, and creative attitude towards life and work," Mr. Vu expressed.

The dynamism, creativity, and aspiration of the young generation of Ca Mau will be a powerful driving force to affirm that Ca Mau will not only be the end of the map of Vietnam, but also the starting point for opportunities and successes on the international stage.

Mr. Pham Tuan Tai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, called on the youth of Ca Mau: " Let's promote the spirit of Unity - Pioneering - Creativity - Development. All cadres, union members, and young people of Ca Mau should promote the spirit of unity and pioneering, striving to study and work creatively. In particular, young people need to be pioneers in the fields that are the main driving forces of development, including: developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, legitimately enriching themselves in their homeland, and integrating internationally.
