As part of the strategy of training and developing young players, thereby creating a richer source of access for the national team to aim for great goals in the future, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has actively develop action plans for young teams in order to effectively carry out key tasks in the coming and subsequent periods. The 23 Southeast Asian U2023 Championship hosted by Thailand will take place from August 17 to August 8, 26. According to the draw results, the U8 Vietnam team is in Group C along with the Philippines U2023 and Laos U23 team. To prepare for this tournament, U23 Vietnam has focused on training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from July 23 until now. Since the first day of focus, until now, coach Hoang Anh Tuan has just been strengthened with 23 quality players to join the team, that is defender Nguyen Van Trieu, midfielder Nguyen Duc Viet, striker Nguyen Quoc Viet of Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
