For many years, with unwavering perseverance, Phu Tho has consistently been among the leading provinces nationwide in forestry development. From barren hills, the green of palm forests, tea plantations, and large timber forests has now spread, creating "green lungs" for this ancestral land. This achievement is not only reflected in the forest cover rate or economic value, but also affirms the effectiveness of forestry in creating sustainable livelihoods for tens of thousands of households.

Police officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police Department participated in planting trees at the Hung Temple National Special Historical Site.
To launch the 2026 Tree Planting Festival, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province issued Plan No. 31/KH-UBND dated February 2, 2026, on implementing the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to Uncle Ho" in the Spring of the Year of the Horse. This document aims to concretize the determination of the entire political system in greening the homeland.
According to the plan, the entire province will focus on planting millions of new trees scattered along major transportation routes, parks, and schools. In particular, the province will prioritize the development of concentrated forests linked to sustainable management, aiming for international forest certifications (FSC) to enhance the value of forest products.
A new feature this year is the strong shift towards native tree species with high economic value, long lifespan, and good protective capabilities. The province also strictly adheres to the principle: ensure that every tree planted survives, assigning specific care responsibilities to each organization and individual, and resolutely preventing situations where resources are abandoned.

Residents of Phu Ho commune are preparing seedlings to ensure the progress of reforestation in 2026.
In Lai Dong commune, a locality that considers forests as its "lifeblood," preparations for the tree-planting festival are underway with great urgency. According to the commune's Plan No. 60/KH-UBND, the goal is to plant 4,000 scattered trees and green 25 hectares of concentrated forest during the spring planting campaign. Under the careful hands of forest workers, tens of thousands of seedlings of valuable tree species such as Terminalia catappa, Terminalia chebula, and Dalbergia tonkinensis are ready to take root.

Tea plantations stretching across the landscape, nestled among large forests, serve as both a "green lung" and a source of economic benefit in many localities.
To ensure the movement truly goes in-depth and achieves tangible results, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned specific tasks to relevant departments. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for strictly controlling the quality of seedlings, ensuring that each sapling delivered to the field meets the highest standards. Police and military forces are coordinating to ensure safety at the tree-planting campaign launch points. Media outlets are actively involved, publicizing successful models and innovative approaches to spread the spirit of "every household plants trees, every person plants forests." All resources, from the budget to social contributions, are being mobilized to create a synergistic force for a green spring.
The towering forests are not only a tangible asset, but also a testament to a strategic vision for a sustainable future. With the Party's will and the people's aspirations harmoniously blended, the green of life will forever flourish on our ancestral land, keeping the lifeblood of our homeland vibrant and prosperous. Amidst the vast expanse, each sapling planted represents a promise of a green, clean, and beautiful environment for future generations.
