At noon on June 14th, a traffic accident occurred on the Tan Thoi Hiep overpass (Tan Thoi Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City), resulting in severe damage to a four-seater car, the collapse of the median barrier on the overpass, and prolonged traffic congestion in the area.
According to initial information, at approximately 12:35 PM on the same day, a four-seater car with license plate 51K-925.60 was traveling on Do Muoi Street (National Highway 1), heading from Binh Phuoc intersection to An Suong intersection.
As the vehicle approached the Tan Thoi Hiep overpass, it was suddenly rear-ended by a container truck with license plate 60C-433.XX, towing a trailer with license plate 20R-011.XX, traveling in the same direction.
The collision caused the driver to lose control of the car, which then crashed into the median barrier on the overpass. Several sections of the barrier's railings and concrete pillars were knocked down and scattered into the opposite lane.

Upon receiving the report, the An Suong Traffic Police Team (PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police) quickly arrived at the scene to handle the incident and regulate traffic.
Observations at the scene revealed that the concrete components and iron fences of the median strip were severely damaged, occupying part of the opposite lane and causing prolonged traffic congestion in the already high-traffic area around the overpass.
Fortunately, the accident did not result in any casualties. However, both vehicles were damaged, with the four-seater car suffering significant damage to its front and rear ends after the chain collision.
Authorities are currently reviewing security camera footage, examining the scene, and investigating the cause of the accident to take appropriate action.
