Cham clothing is not just garments; it also embodies many cultural and religious elements and reflects social status. A prominent characteristic of Cham clothing is its modesty, sophistication, and diversity in colors and patterns. Cham clothing is primarily woven from cotton and silk using elaborate traditional weaving techniques. Cham men also wear sarongs (skirts) in various styles. They often wear short blouses with buttons. During festivals, men also wear headscarves and long-sleeved shirts in a neat and respectful manner.

The Kate Festival (also known as Mbang Kate) is the most sacred and important folk festival of the Cham people who follow Brahmanism, mainly in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces. The festival is held in July according to the Cham calendar (approximately the end of September or beginning of October in the Gregorian calendar). The Kate Festival is an occasion for the Cham people to commemorate their gods, ancestors, and deceased grandparents, praying for favorable weather, abundant harvests, the flourishing of people and all things, harmonious relationships, and good fortune and peace for the entire community. The festival is also an opportunity for people to meet, socialize, strengthen solidarity, and enjoy themselves after a year of hard work.
