With thousands of books on display, the event not only helps readers easily access valuable works but also promotes a stronger reading movement in the community.

At the event, the booth of Dak Lak School Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company was one of the highlights. With its scientifically organized and eye-catching layout, along with a rich selection of books in various genres such as history, science, domestic and international literature, and children's books, this area created an attractive reading space, sparking curiosity and a passion for discovering knowledge for all ages.

Mr. Truong Van Bang, Director of Dak Lak School Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company, said that the company has provided more than 20,000 books to readers. In addition to focusing on content, the company also implemented a discount program of 30-50% to make it easier for readers to own their favorite books. “Through this activity, we hope not only to promote reading culture but also to contribute to nurturing a love of books in the community, especially among students. Accessing knowledge through books not only helps broaden understanding but also cultivates character and guides a positive lifestyle for them,” Mr. Bang shared.

In addition, the event saw enthusiastic participation from student groups from many schools in the area. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang, the head teacher in charge of the Youth Union at Phan Chu Trinh Primary School (Buon Ma Thuot City), said: “As soon as we received information about the event, the school proactively developed a plan to organize it for students to participate as an extracurricular activity. This is an opportunity for them to become familiar with many new books, improve their reading comprehension skills, and create a good foundation for forming a long-term reading habit.”

According to Ms. Trang, bringing students to open reading spaces like the Book Festival will help them better appreciate the value of reading. Instead of being limited to textbooks, they can access a rich treasure trove of knowledge from many fields, thereby developing independent thinking, stimulating creativity, and fostering a joy in exploring the world around them.

Tran Quang Vinh, a student in class 8A at Trung Vuong Secondary School (Buon Ma Thuot City), was extremely excited to discover many new and interesting types of books. “While visiting the book exhibition areas, I learned about many interesting books on history, maritime sovereignty, and islands… I bought some to read and will bring them to school to introduce to my classmates,” Vinh shared.

Not only did the book fair attract a large number of students, but it also served as an ideal meeting place for many book-loving readers throughout the province. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (45 years old, Tu An Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City) shared: “My whole family loves reading, so when we learned about the book fair, we came here together to choose and buy books. Here, my children and I found many suitable books to add to our family's bookshelf.”

With practical activities, the 4th Dak Lak Provincial Book and Reading Culture Festival in 2025 not only helps people expand their knowledge but also motivates everyone, especially the younger generation, to form a reading habit and discover the invaluable spiritual values that books bring.
