In the group stage of the 3-cushion carom billiards World Cup, the Egyptian round, Tran Thanh Luc competed in Group D with Dick Jaspers (Netherlands, No. 3 in the world), Heo Jung Hang (Korea, No. 14 in the world). and Omer Karakurt (Türkiye).
