The VF 6 is a car worth buying!

Despite owning three VinFast electric cars, Bach Thanh Trung, the founder and current administrator of VOZ – one of the largest technology forums in Vietnam – is still very interested in VinFast's latest electric car model, the VF 6, which has just been launched and is now available for pre-order.

As one of the first customers to own the VF e34, followed by the VF 8 and VF 5 Plus, Mr. Bach Thanh Trung assesses that the level of refinement of Vietnamese-branded electric cars is increasingly improving. According to this veteran expert, this assessment is entirely true for the VF 6 model that VinFast has just opened pre-orders for.

Based on his experience with the pre-commercial version of the VF 6, expert Bach Thanh Trung commented that although some features in the software system are not as complete as the manufacturer's specifications, this is understandable and he believes the manufacturer will add them before the official commercial version is delivered to customers at the end of this year.

This is also a point that received praise from expert Bach Thanh Trung: "The VF 6 looks very beautiful from the side. The rear is also eye-catching, although in my opinion, there are still a bit too many details."

Regarding the car's interior, the expert from VOZ assessed that the manufacturer had done a meticulous job, with carefully handled details. The neat and minimalist interior design also helps to provide more space for users.

The special tires give the VF 6 exceptional ride comfort.

No vibration, no noise, good shock absorption and damping.

Upon closer analysis, Trung believes the VF 6 possesses all three elements that contribute to the most comfortable driving experience: low noise, low vibration, and minimal jolting. Of these, what surprised and impressed him most when driving the VF 6 was its sound insulation. "I rate the sound insulation of this VF 6 as quite good. Only when driving at speeds of around 70-80 km/h do you start to notice the noise from the tires," the VOZ admin commented.

Trung rated the VF 6's shock absorption and damping capabilities as significantly better than other cars in the same segment he had driven. This is due to the VF 6 being the only model in its segment with a multi-link rear suspension system, a feature usually found in higher-end models, combined with the advantage of a low center of gravity for electric vehicles, which increases stability and provides a more comfortable ride for passengers.

Furthermore, another unique feature currently only found on the VinFast VF 6 is the specialized tires designed for hybrid and electric vehicles. These tires differ from gasoline tires to ensure they can support the relatively heavy battery system. Specifically, the tires incorporate an additional layer of foam inside to provide a smoother ride.

The VF 6 is considered by experts to be a worthwhile purchase.

The VF 6 is the fifth electric car in VinFast's all-electric mobility ecosystem in Vietnam, available in two versions: Base and Plus. The Base version is priced at 675 million VND (excluding battery) and 765 million VND (including battery). The Plus version is priced at 765 million VND (excluding battery) and 855 million VND (including battery). Customers who place a deposit before October 30, 2023, will receive an even better deal with a 20 million VND discount per vehicle. Importantly, electric vehicles are 100% exempt from registration tax, so the price is almost the final on-the-road price.

Expert Bach Thanh Trung assessed the price offered by the manufacturer as reasonable for a smart electric vehicle like the VF 6. The expert also advised customers to purchase the battery outright if their financial situation allows: “According to the policy recently announced by the manufacturer, buying the battery for long-term use is more advantageous than leasing it. With a price of 855 million VND including the battery for a VF 6 Plus, after deducting initial discounts and promotions, the total cost including registration would only be around 820-830 million VND.”

According to Mr. Trung, the end of the year is when VinFast begins delivering cars to customers, and it's also the time when the registration fee incentive program for domestically assembled traditional cars is about to end. At that time, with a price equivalent to the VF 6, there aren't many other options with comparable performance. "The VF 6 is a car worth buying!" the automotive expert concluded.
