Notable in recent times are the working sessions between VFF leaders and representatives of developed football countries such as Brazil, Spain, Japan, Korea, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China...

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan received Mr. Ivan Codina - Chief Representative of LaLiga (Spain) in Southeast Asia - at VFF headquarters ( Hanoi ) on April 15. The two sides committed to effectively implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed from September 2023, aiming at practical goals such as developing youth football, improving the quality of coaches and expanding the football academy system in Vietnam. Following the success of the LaLiga Academy in Ho Chi Minh City, plans to establish 1-2 more academies in the Northern region are being promoted, aiming to expand access to high-quality football for young talents.

At the same time, on the sidelines of the AFC Congress in Malaysia, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan also had a meeting with President of the Chinese Football Association Song Kai, reaching an agreement on the early signing of a MoU between the two federations. In 2024 and 2025, many Vietnamese youth teams have been invited to China to compete in friendly matches with international opponents, thereby accumulating experience and improving their skills. This is a practical step to realize a comprehensive and systematic youth football training strategy.

VFF is also promoting cooperation with the Brazilian Football Confederation - a country with the world's leading football. The memorandum of understanding between the two sides includes sharing expertise, exchanging players and coaches, and organizing international training and competitions at many levels.

Previously, in mid-April 2025, VFF also attended the 5th FIFA Compliance Summit held in Brazil, approaching many important issues on modern football governance.
