Ensuring traffic safety and public order so that people can celebrate Tet peacefully and happily.

Every spring, when the streets are ablaze with the vibrant colors of apricot and peach blossoms, and long lines of vehicles bring those who have left their hometowns back for family reunions, behind this bustling atmosphere lies the silent dedication of the People's Police force – those who always put aside their personal joys, never having a complete Tet holiday for themselves, because the task of maintaining peace and security for society is always their top priority.

The Lunar New Year holiday – a sensitive period for security and public order – is the most intense "on-duty" period for the police force. When crowds flock to bus and train stations, and shopping and trading activities are bustling, it's also when criminal, economic , drug-related, and smuggling activities have opportunities to take advantage. The increased demand for entertainment and recreation brings with it many potentially complex factors...

For months now, following directives from the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Public Security , police forces in various units and localities have simultaneously launched intensive campaigns to combat and suppress crime; intensified patrols and controls; and focused on fighting various types of criminal offenses, including drug-related crimes, economic crimes, smuggling, commercial fraud, and food safety violations. Each successful case and each dismantled criminal network contributes to a greater sense of peace, allowing people to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) safely.

During the Lunar New Year of 2026 (Year of the Horse), the entire police force is implementing the "Three Best" emulation movement: "Most Loyal - Most Disciplined - Closest to the People," coupled with the determination to maintain peace and security in the area. This includes the successful dismantling of criminal cases late at night, and the breaking up of criminal networks in their infancy. It also includes the tireless efforts of traffic police and public order officers on vital routes, persistently regulating traffic, directing traffic flow, and strictly enforcing regulations to prevent accidents and raise awareness among road users. In areas with complex security situations, the presence of mobile police officers and local police officers silently patrols every alleyway, becoming the "all-seeing eye" of the law, proactively monitoring the situation and advising on effective solutions to emerging issues at the grassroots level.

During Tet (Lunar New Year), thousands of police officers and soldiers are present in remote areas, border regions, islands, and hospitals, giving gifts, providing meals, donating blood, etc. These beautiful actions spread the spirit of sharing and responsibility for the community, concretizing the contents of the "Three Best" emulation movement associated with the work of each unit.

The most beautiful and impressive image during the peak days when people return to their hometowns for Tet (Lunar New Year) is the program supporting people to return home safely and smoothly, especially targeting workers, laborers, students, and those in difficult circumstances in large cities and industrial zones.

Traffic police forces nationwide are organizing escorts and support for convoys carrying people returning home for Tet (Lunar New Year), prioritizing convoys organized by trade unions, businesses, and social organizations. In addition, local police are establishing support points along transportation routes, ready to assist people in handling incidents and situations that may arise during travel; they are also proactively coordinating and handing over responsibilities between different areas to ensure a continuous and safe journey for the public.

The qualities of "selfless devotion to the nation and service to the people" shine even brighter during the transition between the old and new year. Behind every peaceful Tet holiday are the sleepless nights on duty, hurried meals, and family reunions captured via mobile phone screens by police officers and soldiers. The presence of police uniforms in complex areas, their persistent presence in their assigned territories, their firm grasp of the situation, their proactive prevention, and their avoidance of being caught off guard—all of this creates unwavering trust in the hearts of the people.
