The Vietnamese national flag, with its red color symbolizing revolution and the yellow star representing the nation, is deeply ingrained in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. It embodies patriotism, national pride, and community solidarity.

The red flag with a yellow star is a sacred symbol of Vietnam, representing the independence, freedom, and patriotism of the nation. The red color symbolizes the revolution and the blood of heroes who sacrificed themselves for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The yellow star symbolizes the soul of the nation and the unity of the five classes of people (intellectuals, farmers, workers, merchants, and soldiers).

The Organizing Committee of the "Happy Vietnam 2025 " Award would like to introduce to readers the photographic works submitted by authors from all over the country to participate in the competition.

Introduction: A 2025 m2 national flag is being flown to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 / May 19, 2025) at Vinh City Square.

In the middle of the training ground, the young soldiers simultaneously raised the red flag with a yellow star, their eyes shining and their smiles full of enthusiasm. They all stood in tight formation, facing forward with pride and unwavering determination. Each face radiated patriotism, responsibility, and the honor of wearing the sacred military uniform. This vibrant and spirited moment of training was not only a training exercise but also a vivid symbol of the noble ideal: "Proud to be a soldier of Uncle Ho."

The flag-raising ceremony is held annually on April 30th at the Hien Luong flagpole (Vinh Linh, formerly Quang Tri province). A large number of officials and citizens solemnly participate in the ceremony at the special national historical site "Hien Luong Riverbanks". The flag-raising ceremony is a shining symbol of faith and aspiration for peace and national unity, representing the will and strength of the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national liberation and the cause of building socialism...

The image of the red flag with a yellow star is not only present on buildings and streets, but is also deeply ingrained in the minds and hearts of every Vietnamese person, becoming an inseparable part of the national culture and traditions.

We invite readers and photographers from Vietnam and abroad to continue submitting their photos and videos to participate in the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award . The award is organized by... The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television, organized this event . The aim was to continue introducing and promoting the image of Vietnam, its people, cultural values, and natural beauty throughout the country; to awaken national pride and self-respect, and to inspire a desire for development among all segments of the Vietnamese population, so that they can work together to build a more prosperous, thriving, and happy Vietnam.

Submission deadline: From May 22, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Entries can be submitted online at : https://happy.vietnam.vn  

Eligible participants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above.

The awards consist of two categories: photos and videos.

Each competition category (photos and videos) will have one First Prize worth VND 50,000,000, two Second Prizes worth VND 30,000,000, three Third Prizes worth VND 15,000,000, ten Consolation Prizes worth VND 5,000,000, and one Most Voted Award worth VND 5,000,000.

The organizers encourage and will award a creative prize of VND 20,000,000 in each category (photos and videos) to works with new and creative ideas in terms of content and presentation.

In addition, the organizing committee will award monthly prizes, including first, second, and third prizes, to the works with the highest number of votes in each category each month.

The judging panel selected the winners through two rounds of preliminary and final judging, conducted both online and in person.
