The Vietnamese national flag, with its red color symbolizing the revolution and its yellow star symbolizing the nation, is deeply imprinted in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. It represents patriotism, national pride and community solidarity.

The red flag with a yellow star is the sacred symbol of Vietnam, representing the independence, freedom and patriotism of the nation. Red symbolizes the color of revolution, of the blood of heroes who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The yellow star symbolizes the soul of the nation, the solidarity of the five classes of people (scholars, farmers, workers, merchants, soldiers).

The Organizing Committee of the "Happy Vietnam 2025 " Award would like to introduce to readers the photo works of authors from all over the country sent to participate in the award.

In the middle of the training ground, young soldiers simultaneously raised the red flag with yellow star, their eyes shining and their smiles full of enthusiasm. All stood in a tight formation, facing forward with pride and determination. Each face shone with patriotism, responsibility and honor when wearing the sacred soldier's uniform. With the vibrant, spirited moment of a training session, it was also a vivid symbol of the noble ideal: "Proud to be Uncle Ho's soldiers".

The flag-raising ceremony is held every April 30 at Hien Luong flagpole (formerly Vinh Linh, Quang Tri). A large number of cadres and people solemnly attend the flag-raising ceremony - at the special national historical site "Dong Bo Hien Luong". The flag-raising ceremony is a shining symbol of faith and aspiration for peace and national unity, the will and strength of the Vietnamese people in the struggle for national liberation and the cause of building socialism...

The image of the red flag with yellow star is not only present on buildings and streets but also deeply imprinted in the minds and emotions of every Vietnamese person, becoming an inseparable part of national culture and tradition.

We invite readers and photographers from home and abroad to continue sending photos and videos to participate in the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award . The award is organized by The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television organized . Thereby, to continue to introduce and promote the image of the country, Vietnamese people, cultural values, nature across the country; arouse national pride, self-esteem and development aspirations in all classes of Vietnamese people to join hands to build Vietnam to be increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy.

Deadline for submission of works: From May 22, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Entries are accepted online at : https://happy.vietnam.vn  

Contestants: Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over

The award consists of two categories: Photo and Video.

Each contest category (photo and video) will have one First Prize worth 50,000,000 VND, two Second Prizes worth 30,000,000 VND, three Third Prizes worth 15,000,000 VND, 10 Encouragement Prizes worth 5,000,000 VND, one Most Voted Work Prize worth 5,000,000 VND.

The Organizing Committee encourages and will award a creative prize in each category (photo and video) worth 20,000,000 VND for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award monthly prizes including First, Second, and Third prizes to the highest voted works of the month in each category.

The Jury will select the award through two rounds of Preliminary and Final, online and in person.
