Vietjet launches direct flight to Hiroshima.

Vietjet 's Hanoi - Hiroshima route in Japan began serving passengers on July 19th, operating two round-trip flights per week on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The ceremony announcing the first direct flight from Vietnam to Hiroshima, also Vietjet's eighth route connecting Vietnam and Japan, took place yesterday in Hiroshima. The event coincided with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh 's visit to Japan to attend the G7 Expanded Summit.

The direct flight time from Hanoi to Hiroshima is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. The flight departs from Noi Bai Airport at 2:15 AM and lands at Hiroshima Airport at 8:45 AM (local time). The return flight departs from Hiroshima at 9:45 AM (local time) and arrives in Hanoi at 12:35 PM.

At the ceremony, Hiroshima Prefecture's Deputy Governor, Masahiko Tanabecho, stated that Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima International Airport are collaborating to expand the prefecture's flight network. "I am very excited about the new route announced today, the first connecting the Chugoku and Shikoku regions with Vietnam," said Masahiko Tanabecho. The Hiroshima Governor assessed that with Vietjet's new direct flights, travel between Hiroshima and Vietnam will become more convenient, leading to more active cooperation in many areas, including business, trade, and tourism.

Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, CEO of Vietjet, stated that, as a member of the Japan Federation of Business Organizations (Keidanren), Japan's largest comprehensive economic organization, Vietjet is committed to further expanding its flight network to Japan, bringing more opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with many convenient flight options.

In 2023, Vietjet plans to offer 1.5 million seats between Vietnam and Japan, comprehensively connecting Japan's tourism and economic hubs with destinations across Vietnam and the region such as Australia, India, Kazakhstan, and more.

"Passengers on direct flights between Hanoi and Hiroshima will experience a modern fleet, hot meals served by a friendly and professional crew, and attentive and dedicated service," a Vietjet representative affirmed. The airline currently operates direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and numerous flights to Niigata, Shizuoka, and Fukushima.
