“At noon on June 14, the Vinaphone network encountered a technical problem, disrupting customer communications in some areas. Currently, Vinaphone's technical team is urgently handling the problem and the problem is gradually being resolved,” VinaPhone announced.
By 3 p.m. the same day, the telecommunications company said it had completely fixed the connection loss problem. VinaPhone apologized and hoped to receive customers' understanding. However, some users responded that they were still experiencing unstable signals.
According to Google Trends statistics, from 11am on the same day, the number of searches for the keywords “Vinaphone error”, “Vinaphone lost signal”, “Vina network error” increased dramatically. They came from network users in 16 provinces and cities in the North, Central and South, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This shows that the incident affected users nationwide. Before this time, the number of searches for the above keywords was insignificant.
On the company's official fanpage, the latest posts also received a series of negative comments from users about the interruption of voice, text, and 4G services.

“For nearly 2 hours, I did not receive any notifications from OTT applications, while my job requires frequent texting and communication. When I checked again, I found out that my phone did not have a 4G connection because VinaPhone had an error,” said Hai Nam, a VinaPhone user in Hanoi.
On social networks, many users encountered similar situations. Many phone sellers even had to inform customers that the error was caused by the network operator, not the device, because the network operator VinaPhone had not made an official announcement when the problem started.
VinaPhone is currently the telecommunications company with the second largest market share in Vietnam, reaching 22.8% and more than 30 million subscribers, behind Viettel with 56.6%.
