VinFast launches electric motorbike battery swapping model - Photo VF
On August 21st, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, VinFast announced the third phase of its "Strong Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" campaign with two major initiatives.
Specifically, the preferential policies in Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, and An Giang will be applied nationwide starting today. Customers buying VinFast cars will receive a 4% discount on the list price and interest rate support for installment loans of 3-4% per year for 3 years.
With electric motorcycles, discounts of up to 10% off the price are available, with financing support covering 80-90% of the value. Buyers operating on the Green SM Platform can even receive their vehicles with zero down payment, along with a commitment to sharing 90% of revenue for 3 years.
In addition, customers are exempt from 100% of registration fees until the end of 2025 and can use charging services at the V-Green system free of charge until mid-2027.
Notably, VinFast plans to deploy a system of 150,000 battery swapping stations within 3 years, with the first 1,000 stations installed in October 2025, aiming for 50,000 stations by the end of this year.
This densely planned network, far exceeding the number of gas stations, gives users peace of mind regarding battery life and saves them time refueling.
New versions of electric motorcycles with interchangeable batteries will be added, starting with the Evo Max priced at 20 million VND, launching in October 2025, followed by the Feliz Max (24.9 million VND), Verox Max (33.9 million VND), and Drift Max (39.9 million VND).
The vehicle is designed with a dual-cell battery system, each with a capacity of 1.5 kWh, providing a maximum range of 85 km per battery. The rental fee is 200,000 VND per battery per month, and the battery replacement fee is 9,000 VND per replacement, offering significant savings compared to gasoline costs.
Simultaneously, VinFast continues to offer a battery-powered version for customers who want a complete package or to charge it at home. The company is also coordinating the "Green Day - Trade in your gasoline car, upgrade to a green car" nationwide, with incentives of up to 100 million VND for customers trading in their gasoline cars for electric vehicles, with the highest discount applied to the VF9 model.
