Vinicius creates 'chaos'

Vinicius Jr. was reported to have suffered an injury but continued to play for Real Madrid in the 3-4 loss to Barcelona in round 35 of La Liga on May 11.

The incident happened in the 75th minute at the Olímpic Lluís Companys Stadium (Barcelona), when Vinicius felt uncomfortable and asked for a substitution. Coach Carlo Ancelotti immediately called Endrick to warm up and prepare to enter the field to replace his senior. However, as Endrick waited on the sidelines, Vinicius changed his mind and wanted to continue playing.

This decision forced Endrick to put his jacket back on and continue warming up. However, in the 88th minute, Vinicius asked to leave the field due to pain in one of his legs. The Brazilian striker was eventually replaced by Víctor Munoz, a young striker from Castilla.

Before being substituted, Vinicius played hard and had 2 assists for Kylian Mbappe to score a double. The Brazilian striker also showed a strong fighting spirit when trying to continue playing despite feeling uncomfortable in his leg. Coach Carlo Ancelotti shared about Vinicius' situation in the post-match press conference: "Vinicius did not ask for a substitution himself, it was my decision. He had a problem with his ankle. Vinicius tried, but the pain made him ask to leave the field."

Real's medical team will conduct a thorough examination on Vinicius on May 12.
