According to Neowin , in its latest Power On report on Bloomberg, Mark Gurman stated that Apple has been internally discussing a price range of $1,500 to $2,500 for a cheaper version of the Vision Pro. Even though this is significantly cheaper than the $3,499 price tag, it's still three times the price of the recently launched Meta Quest 3 headset, which starts at just $499.99.
A more affordable version of the Vision Pro will cost between $1,500 and $2,500.

Gurman stated that to reduce costs, the cheaper Vision Pro would feature a lower-resolution screen compared to the first-generation model, along with a processor based on chips for iPhones instead of CPUs for Macs. This cheaper version might also have fewer cameras and external sensors, and could omit the Eyesight feature, which displays images of the wearer's eyes on an external screen.
Among these, the removal of Eyesight is considered a positive point, as many people felt that looking into someone's eyes while they were wearing mixed reality glasses like Vision Pro was somewhat unsettling.
Gurman's earlier report indicated that Apple is developing the next-generation Vision Pro with many premium features but a smaller and lighter design. This is good news because some users were previously reported to experience neck strain when wearing the first-generation Vision Pro due to its weight.
