Major Le Van Anh emotionally stated that celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year on Truong Sa Island is a great honor for him. Despite the harsh weather conditions and numerous intertwined tasks, the spirit of the soldiers at this remote outpost remains steadfast, optimistic, and confident in the leadership of the Party, the State, and the Central Military Commission. From this frontline outpost of the Fatherland, the naval soldiers pledge to excellently fulfill their assigned duties, firmly protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands, live up to the trust and love of the people and soldiers nationwide, and contribute to welcoming a joyful new spring with the mainland.

Immediately after the flag-raising ceremony, naval units organized many fun and sporting activities in a lively atmosphere, attracting a large number of officers and soldiers to participate and cheer. The boisterous laughter and chatter, mingled with the sound of the waves, created a vibrant and warm picture of camaraderie and fellowship.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Vu Duc Quynh, Commander of Truong Sa Island, despite the many difficulties on the island, the unit always strives to ensure that the soldiers and civilians on the island can celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) fully and warmly. Caring for the spiritual well-being of the soldiers and civilians is an important task, contributing to strengthening their will and determination to protect maritime sovereignty.

Through flag-raising ceremonies and New Year's festivities, the unit continues to educate and raise political awareness, fostering courage and determination among officers and soldiers; while also caring for their spiritual well-being and building a healthy, united, and cohesive cultural environment within the unit. This is also an opportunity for each officer and soldier to clearly define their responsibilities, build the right motivation for striving, and contribute to building a clean and strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding unit.

Spring on the islands doesn't arrive with bustling crowds or dazzling lights, but with gentler sea breezes, clear golden sunshine, and the lively preparations being made by the soldiers and civilians on the islands. On the islands, the barracks are tidied up, and the rows of houses are decorated with flags, flowers, and red couplets.

Potted kumquat trees and other flowers are placed in front of the office doors, creating a festive atmosphere. Amidst the sea breeze and sunshine, the vibrant yellow apricot blossoms become a special highlight. In the distance, in the cultural center, New Year's newspapers are neatly displayed. Springtime melodies blare from small speakers, adding to the lively atmosphere. The spirit of Tet (Vietnamese New Year) is present in every corner of the island.

After the New Year's flag-raising ceremony, the residents of the island not only participate in recreational activities but also visit and exchange New Year greetings with each other. Ms. Le Thi Huong Tram, a resident of Truong Sa Island, expressed that everyone on the island is excited about Tet. Although simple, the Tet celebration is very warm and cozy. In this remote location, spring is not only the moment of transition to the new year but also a symbol of willpower and faith. The soldiers and civilians on the island continue to work day and night at sea, upholding the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

From this remote island, he wishes his family a healthy, happy, and joyful New Year; and wishes the entire naval force, officers, and soldiers a healthy, happy, and joyful spring, always steadfast in their duties and successfully completing their assigned tasks.

This spring, the military and people of the Truong Sa Special Zone send to the people on the mainland smiles and the peace of the islands, reflecting the steadfast and optimistic spirit of the naval soldiers on the front lines of the Fatherland.
