To ensure that digitalization truly integrates into the lives of the people, the People's Committee of the commune has established a Steering Committee on the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06; established a working group to assist in the process, and strengthened 11 community digital technology teams directly in 11 villages, creating uniformity and synchronized implementation. Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune, said: The commune focuses on digital transformation across all three pillars: digital government, digital economy , and digital society, creating a breakthrough in administrative reform towards modernization, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management and the quality of service to the people, and creating momentum for local socio-economic development. In particular, emphasis is placed on applying information technology in management and operation; at the same time, promoting the role of community digital technology teams in supporting people to access digital platforms and online public services, gradually forming the habit of working, transacting, and interacting in the digital environment.
Community-based digital technology teams have played a crucial bridging role between the government and the people. Mr. Thào A Chờ, Party Secretary and Head of Suối Dinh village, said: "The village's community-based digital technology team has five members who regularly visit each household to guide people in installing VNeID, using online public services, and other digital utilities on smartphones. This 'hands-on' approach has helped many people gradually become familiar with and effectively use digital platforms in their daily lives."
For the three villages with weak mobile phone coverage, namely Suoi Giong, Suoi O, and Suoi Ngang, the Suoi To Commune Police and the Digital Transformation Team of these villages have reviewed the situation and brought citizens who have not yet activated their VNeID electronic identity accounts to the commune police station to proceed with the installation and integration of the utility.
Holding his smartphone, which had just been registered with a level 2 electronic identity verification account, Mr. Song A De from Lung Khoai village shared: "Today, I was guided by officials on how to use the VNeID application, which has many useful features, such as: integrating various documents like vehicle registration, driver's license, and health insurance card; and registering for online administrative procedures and public services. I will actively learn to use it more proficiently."
To date, the entire commune has activated nearly 1,800 level 2 electronic identity verification accounts. From July 1, 2025 to the present, the Commune Public Administrative Service Center has received and processed over 1,100 online applications, contributing to improving the quality of service for citizens and reducing the time and cost of administrative procedures. Many people have learned to use smartphones to register for online public services, conduct online business, sell goods online, and shop online.
Despite remaining difficulties and limitations, with the determination of the entire political system and the resolve of the people, digital transformation is no longer a distant concept in the Suoi To highland region. Digital platforms are truly permeating every household, becoming the key for the highland people to take control of their livelihoods and boost the economy. At the same time, it creates a solid foundation for building a streamlined, effective, and efficient government in the future.
