Ms. Ho Thi Loc's ecotourism- based fruit orchard model currently features dozens of fruit tree varieties originating from Southern Vietnam, generating income.
Ms. Loc said that many years ago, when she worked as a trader buying agricultural products, she recognized the great potential in converting inefficient rice fields into high-quality fruit orchards.
With determination and the support of her family and the facilitation of the local authorities, she established the Ho Loc Agricultural Cooperative, focusing on fruit tree cultivation combined with experiential tourism activities.
However, the journey from idea to reality is a challenging one. Ms. Loc and her colleagues' model faced many difficulties, such as a lack of capital, expertise in plant care techniques, and operational issues.
However, with hard work, creativity, and a willingness to take risks, the model has now become a success. Among dozens of fruit trees such as guava, jackfruit, orange, pomelo, mango, plum, etc., Ms. Loc focuses her investment on guava and pomelo trees as her main source of income.

Ms. Loc and her colleagues grow guava according to VietGap standards. Currently, the guava orchard yields 200kg of guava per day. From the income from the guava trees, the orchard has funds to cover many expenses and reinvest.
Not only did she improve crop productivity, but Ms. Loc also boldly transformed the area into an ecotourism destination, building a guesthouse, planting ornamental trees and flowers, digging a pond for lotus and fish farming, and offering food and beverage services.
Ms. Loc shared: "To develop clean agriculture in conjunction with tourism, the most important thing is to build a brand. We have to accept breaking even or even incurring losses in the first few years, but in return, the farmers have the opportunity to build and develop their brand."
After more than 7 years, the Ho Loc Garden brand of the Ho Loc Agricultural Cooperative has become well-known, and its economic efficiency has gradually increased. During the peak fruit season, the garden receives an average of 20-30 visitors per day.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the orchard can welcome hundreds of visitors each day, including groups of foreign tourists... Specifically for the Tet pomelo harvest in 2025, her orchard harvested 2.5 tons of first-grade fruit, earning a net profit of approximately 100 million VND.
Thanks to her tireless efforts and hard work, at the end of 2024, Ms. Ho Thi Loc was one of eight outstanding female entrepreneurs honored by the Dai Loc District Women's Union at the "Women Entrepreneurs - Green Transformation" event.
Besides focusing on fruit tree cultivation and eco-tourism in the orchards, Ms. Loc also provides agricultural supplies, fertilizers, and standard fruit tree seedlings, along with guidance on planting and caring for the trees for the local people. Ms. Loc hopes to expand the model and create stable income for local laborers...
