Setting a record with 135 dishes made from pomelo.

On the morning of April 12th, the opening ceremony of the Binh Minh Thanh Tra Fruit Festival took place at Dong Thanh Secondary and High School in Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province. The event aimed to honor the local specialty fruit and attract tourists. The program also set a Vietnamese record with 135 dishes made from Thanh Tra fruit.

According to Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province: "The Thanh Tra Festival is not only an opportunity to introduce a unique specialty fruit of Vinh Long, but also a chance to honor the skillful hands of local women in the art of culinary arts."

The festival attracted the participation of 20 culinary teams from across the province, offering a diverse culinary experience featuring dishes made from pomelo. These dishes will be displayed and introduced to tourists and the community, creating a unique culinary feast and contributing to the development of tourism and the province's economy .

Thanh tra is a specialty fruit of Binh Minh region, known for its extensive thanh tra orchards, mainly concentrated in Dong Thanh commune. According to the elders, thanh tra has been grown here for about 100 years.

The event attracted 20 culinary teams.

The star fruit is small, about the size of a chicken egg, green when unripe, and turns an attractive orange-yellow color when ripe.

The pomelo tree is now becoming a stable source of income for the people of Binh Minh.

Teams compete in cooking contests at the festival.

The Binh Minh Green Tea Festival is not only an opportunity to introduce the unique local product, but also a chance to promote the unique cultural and culinary beauty of Vinh Long province to friends both domestically and internationally.
